BOOK REVIEW- SUMMER WAGER by Stacey Joy Netzel
Shanna Rogers can’t stand another day working with sexy, infuriating, Kevin Cain, but when they both ask to be transferred, their boss sends them on a team building camping trip instead. Kevin makes a bet with the prissy prima donna he’s certain to win—until she turns the tables on him in a move he never saw coming.
Stakes are raised and lines are drawn—but it’s a very thin line between love and hate, and winning the wager could make them both losers when it comes to their hearts. AMAZON 3.5 STARS
This was a charming short story. With two very competitive main characters. Both who were also carrying childhood baggage that was getting in their way when it came to their interactions.
The whole story proved the point that "sometimes love makes you crazy."
I liked that it didn't take very long for Kevin to recognize that he underestimated Shanna although his boss had warned him.
The dual P.O.V.'s is something that I liked as well. There is a H.E.A. and a Epilogue. All of these things got bonus points from me. So did the really funny canoe incident towards the beginning of their adventure.
"I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my honest opinion of it”
