General Fiction (Adult), Romance

Description

Danger is the ultimate aphrodisiac…

School teacher Danielle Yesenko’s calm and predictable life is turned upside down when her sister leaves Danielle’s infant niece on her doorstep, along with a flash drive and a mysterious note. Then smoking hot former-Navy SEAL Shawn Joseph shows up, saying he was hired to help.

Danielle is shocked when he reveals that her sister is a CIA agent, whose life is in danger. And she’s even more surprised when the gorgeous Shawn announces he’ll be staying with her for a while…

Shawn is in his element, protecting a beautiful woman and a baby from some pretty nasty characters. It isn’t long before the two are on the run, with deadly enemies hot on their tail. As adrenaline and attraction rise, Shawn has to remind himself that Danielle is just an assignment. And if he  wants to do his job, he’ll have to ignore the growing attraction he feels…

But as the danger escalates, so do his feelings for Danielle. And Shawn quickly finds himself risking everything. Including his heart…AMAZON LINK

4 STARS

I found this story to have a pretty good plot with good main characters and also some secondary people as well.  However although I liked it..I just didn't feel that connection with Danielle and Shawn like I would have liked.  So I liked it but...

I guess I would say that their being on the run was more interesting than the actual romance.  It just felt stronger in that area. Part of the mystery was how were the baddies so easily finding them every time. I had some idea of the how but I was pleased to see that I was wrong. The key that they needed to find to use the data on the computer drive was also quite the surprise too.  It was quite ingenious.

Danielle ended up being more helpful even though she was a civilian and unused to ops.

The baby caused some unexpected problems to their being on the run.

I was happy with how everything ended, so there is also that.

I received an ARC through Netgalley and am voluntarily providing an honest review.
