Make no mistake, the Holy Spirit plans to thoroughly enjoy every connection with you that is possible. He will enjoy breaking you, and He will enjoy rebuilding you. He will enjoy being there for you on your worst day; He will love to be there with you on your best day. When you are in grief, when your back is against a wall, when you feel like you have lost everything and you are in a pit, He will be in that same pit talking with you about how to climb out!
