Holiday Heartwarmers Book #4

Frosty the Snowman by Mimi Barbour
Strangers, Hali and Terry, and a cute but mischievous Samoyed puppy are stranded in the Alaskan bush due to a freak snowstorm that forces him to land his small Cessna. From the beginning, she’s never known a man so independent and rigid in his need to have things done his way. And he’s never known a woman so willing to help, stepping on his pride in such a lovable way that he can’t take offense. The frigid temperatures are brutal and when he falls through the ice to save a puppy, the stakes for survival become enormous. Can their blossoming mutual attraction withstand their multiple challenges?    AMAZON

This is the book that I read in this Series and it starts out with action right out of the gate.
I have to admit the minute that Terry opened his mouth, I hated him. Even as the story went on and I realized he was kind of a handsome but reclusive guy, I wasn't sure my opinion would change.  But thankfully it did.  He was a softie hidden behind a bossy, crusty interior.   I could really see it with his interactions with the puppy.  The puppy that Hali was there to deliver as a gift to someone in Alaska.
Trying to survive in blizzard conditions was written in a believable way. Even when Hali caused a few mishaps being a city girl and all.  She had some spunk and redheaded backbone.  Sometimes that helped their situation but not always.   Once the anger and resentment cooled, sparks of a different kind heated up.
A charming story, that brought a smile and a small surprise twist at the end.

I was  given a gift of this book and have voluntarily decided to write a review.
