BOOK REVIEW- DREAM TRAVELER

BOOK- Dream Traveler- The mantle of First Daughter of Gayome weighs heavily on Dariana’s shoulders.  She cannot dreamsing like her father, Durgan Ketassian. And she despairs of being adequate to rule as Tiria, as her mother Nerienne has done with intelligence and grace. Conscious only of her shortcomings, Dariana is unaware of the strength—or the existence—of her inherent gifts until she meets a man who helps her claim them and who stirs her senses as no man ever has.
Relezar Vare has a mission. He’s determined to prove that, despite his family’s refusal to defend Gayome against its enemies, he’s no coward. Yet he must go carefully, for he possesses a gift that can be exploited for evil purposes. He longs for Dariana. But she is First Daughter—forbidden fruit. He should be satisfied with the opportunity their quest offers to prove his worth but he wants more.
Hidden Melody . . .

I've got to admit as the first chapter of the book opened, I was a bit confused. Unusual opening with unfamiliar names, culture and objects. But...it also kind of gave a small taste of some of the feelings that Dariana must have been having. I found it to be a pretty interesting story which I enjoyed. Both Dariana and Relezar were so easy to like; and you just wanted to see things work out for them. I'm not only talking about them overcoming the evil but also their romance. And the story definitely had plenty of surprises. About the the time I thought I had something figured out, a surprise of more information would pop out. Another secret was revealed.
A really intriguing companion of sorts was Bidge, what imagination to come up with that character. Going with them on their journey, she was irritating some of the times but helpful to Dariana at others. An unusual friendship to be sure.

I received a free copy of this book from Bell Bridge Books via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
