When a murder leaves Barbara as the #1 suspect, she has to solve the crime to clear her name!
For Socially awkward librarian Barbara Stitch, books have always been safer than people.
Her quiet life takes a deadly detour when Mr. Rivers, a ruthless businessman, is found dead in the Victorian Echoes Inn’s Parlor.
And she is the prime suspect. Witnesses saw her arguing with the victim about a family inheritance and officers aren’t eager to look further.
From crossing Gerald Monroe years ago with a manuscript and blackmailing Vivian Cook by stealing everything from her, Mr. Rivers wasn’t exactly loved.
Armed with her librarian’s intuition and imagination, Barbara’s determined to uncover the truth.
She relies on her golden retriever Suga as she navigates twisting corridors, hidden passageways, and cryptic manuscripts to find Mr. Rivers’ missing briefcase.
This could crack the case! But time is running out. Because now she is receiving deadly threats.
If Barbara doesn’t solve the puzzle soon, the killer might decide that one murder isn’t enough.
MY REVIEW NOTES: 5 stars Titled : keep 'em comin'
What a great story ! Barbara was outside her comfort zone but that wasn't going to keep her from finding out who was threatening Frank, the toy train maker and exhibitor. Yes, she finds he has some serious secrets but even when they come out, she stands with him to find the evil doer. The local postmistress Mrs. Beasily doesn't help with her rumors and insinuations but people finally come on board to find out the truth.
Find out the truth the town does, with some scandals being unleashed before finally all is revealed. Now Barbara The Stitch can sit down and quietly sip her tea until the Next wild adventure. I want to be there for it !!
HERE IS THE FINAL REVIEW THAT I HAD ALREADY GIVEN ON 5-8-2025
5 STARS FOR A SMART LIBRARIAN & HER TEAM
And
as their investigations continue even more dangerous as each knot is
unraveled! I could hardly wait to see how things would ultimately end up
towards the end of the story !
There were a lot of people networking
to bring down Broad Hollow's collapse It's always about the money for
them. But people, slowly began to come out of the woodwork to help
Barbara and her cause.
The ending was great and I enjoyed it
tremendously ! And I loved the nickname she was given "Stitch". Many of
the townspeople called her that !!
The promise of the next book, "Murder at the Class Reunion", now has me looking for this next book in this series !!!
