MY REVIEW- 5 STARS
I wasn't sure I was going to like this book or not. But I decided to give it a chance and was glad that I did. What a great "character" Kira is. A house organizer who needs one herself. Living a lie about that but she's so lovable I couldn't help but love her. I give her 5 STARS. There were people who all of a sudden materialized into her life, who surprisingly helped her. The help was a surprise but also some of the people like Lester, turned out to not be the "bum" that he appeared to be at the bar, but he had amazing depths to him. Some of her friends helped her too. And also surprised her with their unexpected depths and talents as well. And they just won't let Kira quit! There was plenty of laughter between Kira and her friends too. One sad note in Kira's life is the death of her beloved father, Big Sammy ! Her biggest cheerleader !! Additional sadness for Kira was not being able to duplicate Big Sammy's special Chili. Brian was a surprise and had me wondering where he was going to end up in Kira's life. I loved how Kira had internal conversations with herself and she was FUNNY ! She also began to think Hey,I'm great at getting people together, like a romance broker. That made me smile.
She unwittingly picks up a nemesis, Michelle Yamata, whom she accidentally insults in a televised interview. A woman who was another Organizer removing clutter. Someone who Kira had previously idolized. The woman inspired her to launch her own removing clutter blog and a profitable business was launched from it. And now, Michelle was stalking her on reviews and just generally making her life miserable, just like she had promised. Makes you wonder how that's gonna turn out !
Kira is a klutz and somehow she always ends up making it work out for her !! Hilarious too.
This book is on my Keeper List to be enjoyed over and over again !
Kira finally finds herself and the Epilogue (ending?) is just as unique and Quirky AND funny as Kira is !!!
