5 STARS

This one was a wild, wild story. It was wildly unique when it comes to plot and downright scary at times.  Definitely edge of the seat reading all the way through.

The way that Raider, knew how to deal with Becks was truly well shown and explained.  He knew how to study her and help her from the time she had withdrawn to the sanitarium to the current time.  It was so insightful how he gave her choices.  He asked for permissions and let her decide when she was inside those 2 years.  And he was still the same way as they battled their way through on the outside.  I really loved watching their connection as it grew.  Some of Raider's hurts get exposed in the story as it goes along.

I think it's worth saying that Becks was one talented, interesting person with a lot of depth to her as well.  It's just been hidden and stays that way for a while.

This story was intense especially when it came to the battles with the ruthless villain. This was someone else who has been hiding in the dark. Just waiting to strike, to "play their game", when they were ready.  The final battle is quite the bloody one but Raider and Beck battle to the end.
