This story has an explosive beginning, that grabs you by the throat and never lets up!

Alma has gone through so much before she ever even landed her job as an officer in this small town.  And most of it was something that wasn't what I was expecting.  Painful as some of it was, I still liked that it was able to surprise me.

Cree was also someone who was able to surprise me as well.   Both of them had people who cared for them and had their backs even if they didn't really realize it at first.  And it was easy to like both of the main characters and to want to see them not only get out alive but end up with a H.E.A.

You want twists, turns and surprises?  This story has it; dangers upon dangers until a very good ending.
