This was an intense, well written story with plenty of action, thrills, suspense and romance. There is depth in the story and in the main characters. You can almost feel the emotions of both Irish and Flynn, in both what they have gone through in the past and also currently.   I liked that we got a chapter featuring first Irish and then a chapter personalized with Flynn.  One right after the other but without them repeating all of what the other covered in theirs.   That is something that I really dislike in a book and was glad to see that it didn't happen here.  I also was drawn into the hurts that they both have suffered.

The mission that Irish has been on for years called for some pretty harsh sacrifices for him.  That was really well "felt" because of the writing.  So was the investigations that were going on and as was all the players too.  I will say that although well written, I also got a bit overwhelmed by all the people and some that are couples.  I had to spend time sorting that out.  And that's just the teams of people working on the investigations.  There was also quite a few people when it came to those working their own selfish agenda's.

It all comes out in the end and includes a good Epilogue that I enjoyed.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
