Although I liked both of the main characters, and the story sounded good it's not a favorite to me. Nick just seemed to be caught up in a 18 year old boy/man's mistake and couldn't seem to get past it.
And he wasn't man enough to own up to the mistakes and face Grace. He let it slide for ten years which was hard for me to fathom. He didn't even get the divorce that he said he would take care of. Oh I understand what was in his past that made him run in the first place but I guess he was one of those that they saying belonged to. "Lucky in cards (or in his case business) and unlucky in love."
Although luck really didn't play any part in it at all. He began to think that it was fate that had thrown her back in his path.
Grace had a loving family backing her, only not right at the moment because they were all out of town for several weeks, for different reasons. She never forgot Nick, or the short lived love they had but she had decided it was time to move on. The car crash definitely changed everyone's plans.
The story was likable but also somewhat predictable as well.
