BOOK REVIEW- EASTER STORIES: CLASSIC TALES FOR THE HOLY SEASON

A Treasure Trove of stories by Multiple Authors like C.S. Lewis, Leo Tolstoy, Oscar Wilde,
just to name a few.  It has been compiled by Miriam LeBlanc with black and white sketches at the beginning of each new story.  Spiritual classic tales that show more of the Holy aspect of Easter versus our current culture's obession with the Easter bunny

I really wish I could say that I really liked this book a lot.  Sad to say, I found it a bit dry and kind of hard to work my way through.  I also had hoped that there were stories that could be shared with children as part of a new Easter tradition.  The blub on the back of the book says that it could be read to children, because it was good for people of all ages.  I'm not sure that I can agree with that, some of the material might not be so good for young children, to my way of thinking.   I guess you would just have to be selective in what you read to young children from this book.  There was a few stories that might be okay for that age group.

I received a free copy of this book from Plough Publishing through Handlebar Marketing.
