Book Review: Merlin's Blade

Merlin's Blade (Merlin Spiral Series #1)

Its all happening in 5th Century Britain, its just a small village but Big Evil is coming and its totally ruthless.  The old time religion of  the Druids is back and they have a new source of power. Its all contained in a special stone, a dragon stone who will enslave all if it can't be stopped.  Merlin and his fellow Christians are in for the fight of their lives.  A classic struggle between good and evil.

I really wished I could have liked this book more.  The language was kind of hard to get into, even with the glossary in the back.  I didn't really notice that till later.    When I read the first chapter, I almost couldn't go any further.  I laid it down for awhile and came back to it later.  Once I got into it deeper the story began to flow a bit better and was better. But in the end, I'm not really sure I understood a lot of it nor am I interested in reading any more.
