“Never attach favor to what you’re not. “I’m not this; therefore, I can’t have favor.” That’s not how it works. Favor is attracted to Jesus in you, whether you’re walking with him properly or not. That’s good news! Matter of fact, that’s massive news!”

The Business 9 Women Kept A Secret For Three Decades, by Lori Weiss
The Business 9 Women Kept A Secret For Three Decades, by Lori Weiss
Somewhere in West Tennessee, not far from Graceland, nine women -- or "The 9 Nanas," as they prefer to be called -- gather in the darkness of night. At 4am they begin their daily routine -- a ritual that no one, not even their husbands, knew about for 30 years. They have one mission and one mission only: to create happiness. And it all begins with baked goods. Daily Good

80 TOTALLY AWESOME USES FOR COCONUT OIL
I found this great post on Facebook:
Be sure to buy organic coconut oil. Most Walmarts carry it on the aisle with the other cooking oils (it's less than $7 at mine), also health stores should have them as well.
Personal Hygiene/Body:
1. Moisturizer – simply scoop some out of the jar and apply all over your body, including neck and face.
2. Eye cream – apply under the eyes to reduce puffiness, bags, and wrinkles. Use on the lids in the evening.
3. Preshave – coconut oil will prep skin for the pending damage caused by shaving.
4. Aftershave – coconut oil will help heal your skin after shaving without clogging pores.
5. Deodorant – coconut oil alone can be used as a deodorant, but even more effective in combination with cornstarch/arrowroot powder and baking soda!
6. Hair Conditioner/Deep Treatment - use as a leave in hair conditioner by applying a teaspoon of coconut oil to your ends and then running your fingers through your hair to distribute the rest! For a deeper treatment, rub in a tablespoon of coconut oil onto your dry scalp and gently work through to the ends. Put a shower cap on to prevent transfer onto bed linens and leave on overnight.
7. Hair Gel/Defrizzer – rub a little between your palms and either scrunch into hair (for curly hair) or finger comb in through from scalp to ends (for wavy/straight hair).
8. Toothpaste – there are numerous recipes out there but I just mix coconut oil and baking soda and dab a little of the mix on my toothbrush.
9. Make up remover – use a cotton swab and a dab of coconut oil and you would be amazed at how well it works!
10. Chapstick – just rub a little into lips and it not only acts as a softening agent but it also has an SPF of about 4 so you get a little protection!
11. Massage Oil – pretty simple; grab some and rub!
12. Lubricant – it is an all natural, perfectly safe personal lubricant. Not compatible with latex!
13. Sunscreen
14. Stretch Mark Cream – coconut oil is great at nourishing damaged skin. It may not be the magic stretch mark cure but it will help.
15. Nipple Cream – works great to nourish cracked, sore, or dry nipples. Apply to a cotton ball and leave on your nipples between feedings.
16. Diaper salve – very comforting on a rashy bum with no harsh chemicals. Also safe for cloth diapers.
17. Cradle cap – having issues with dry skin on your baby’s scalp? Coconut oil will not only nourish your baby’s skin, it also helps eliminate cradle cap. Just rub a teaspoon onto scalp daily.
18. Body scrub – mix coconut oil and sugar together and rub all over! Rinse off and your skin will be super soft! You can add in essential oils if you would like a specific smell.
19. Healing - when applied on scrapes and cuts, coconut oil forms a thin, chemical layer which protects the wound from outside dust, bacteria and virus. Coconut oil speeds up the healing process of bruises by repairing damaged tissues. Plus, it smells a heck-of-a-lot better than anything from the pharmacy.
20. Bug Bites – when applied directly to a bug bite, coconut oil can stop the itching and burning sensation as well as hasten the healing process.
21. Skin problems – coconut oil relieves skin problems such as psoriasis, dermatitis, and eczema.
22. Swimmers Ear – mix garlic oil and coconut oil and put a few drops in affected ear for about 10 minutes. Do this 2-3 times a day and it usually works within one or two days.
General Health and Wellness
23. Stress Relief - relieve mental fatigue by applying coconut oil to the head in a circular, massaging motion. The natural aroma of coconuts is extremely soothing thus helping to lower your stress level.
24. Digestion - the saturated fats in coconut oil have anti-bacterial properties that help control, parasites, and fungi that cause indigestion and other digestion related problems such as irritable bowel syndrome. The fat in coconut oil also aids in the absorption of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, making you healthier all around.
25. Fitness - coconut oil has been proven to stimulate your metabolism, improve thyroid function, and escalate energy levels, all of which help decrease your unwanted fat, while increasing muscle.
26. Nose bleeds - coconut oil can prevent nose bleeding that is caused by sensitivity to weather such as extreme hotness and extreme coldness. This condition happens when the nasal passages become dry because of cold or dry air resulting to burns and cracks in the mucus membranes so bleeding happens. To prevent this just put coconut oil in you nostrils. Coat your finger with coconut oil and then lie down and coat your finger inside your nose. Doing this will strengthen and protect the capillaries in the nasal passages. A Vitamin C supplement will also help prevent nose bleeding.
27. For breastfeeding moms, consuming 3 ½ tablespoons of coconut oil daily will enrich your milk supply.
28. Helps with weight loss & controlling cravings.
29. Helps keep blood sugar levels stable and/or helps with cravings in those with diabetes.

Book Review:Fashioned to Reign
Kris Vallotton writes that he is appalled by the number of Christian leaders who are convinced that women are not qualified, not as called and/or as gifted to lead as men. The purpose of this book is to prove that this disempowering thesis is not only illogical; it is also completely unscriptural. Included are stories of different women who are both in the Bible and in more modern times that have made a tremendous difference for good in the lives of others
An interesting point that he made was that its embarrassing that women in the world are more powerful than sisters in the Church. Also that when women who are powerful CEO's of a large corporation in the world comes to the Church and then is treated like a second-class citizen; why would they stay? Jesus refused to let the religious leaders of his day oppress women; and we often say we want to be Christ-like; then in this also we must change.
I was a bit uncomfortable with the author's imagining of the Garden of Eden experience. Not that he was imagining it but that it seemed to stray a bit too far and seemed to alter some of the facts as the Bible tells it.
Yes, as you can guess, I am a woman, so of course I am cheering for what Kris Vallotton is speaking and teaching about women being undervalued. But the thing is, as you look through the Bible, Jesus loved and cherished many of the women of the Bible; and Kris points out many examples of modern women as well who were world changers.
I believe that in these dark times that we live in, God needs both men and women to fight side by side TOGETHER to win victory for the Kingdom of God.

Encouragement for mothers by M.O.P.S (Mothers of Preschoolers) Mentor
Great With Destiny - by Christianna Reed Maas, 2010 -
My willingness to carry life is the revenge, the antidote, the great rebuttal of every murder, every abortion, and every genocide. I sustain humanity. Deep inside of me, life grows. I am death’s opposition.
I have pushed back the hand of darkness today. I have caused there to be a weakening tremor among the ranks of those set on earth’s destruction. Today a vibration that calls angels to attention echoed throughout time. Our laughter threatened hell today.
I dined with the greats of God’s army. I made their meals, and tied their shoes. Today, I walked with greatness, and when they were tired I carried them. I have poured myself out for the cause today.
It is finally quiet, but life stirs inside of me. Gaining strength, the pulse of life sends a constant reminder to both good and evil that I have yielded myself to Heaven and now carry its dream. No angel has ever had such a privilege, nor any man. I am humbled by the honor. I am great with destiny.
I birth the freedom fighters. In the great war, I am a leader of underground resistance. I smile at the disguise of my troops, surrounded by a host of warriors, destiny swirling, invisible yet tangible, and the anointing to alter history. Our footsteps marking land for conquest, we move undetected through the common places.
Today I was the barrier between evil and innocence. I was the gate keeper, watching over the hope of mankind, and no intruder trespassed. There is not an hour of day or night when I turn from my post. The fierceness of my love is unmatched on earth.
And because I smiled instead of frowned the world will know the power of grace. Hope has feet, and it will run to the corners of earth, because I stood up against destruction. I am a woman. I am a mother. I am the keeper and sustainer of life here on earth. Heaven stands in honor of my mission. No one else can carry my call. I am the daughter of Eve. Eve has been redeemed. I am the opposition of death. I am a woman.

Shine with the Calm of God
"It is not difficult to recognize one who has spent extended time at a newsstand: his conversation overflows with the drama of current affairs. And, it is not hard to discern a person who has come from a sporting event, as their face reveals the outcome of the game. Likewise, people can tell when an individual has spent extended time seeking God. An imperturbable calm guards their heart, and their countenance is radiant with light, as with the morning dew of Heaven."

It is our privilege to try and bankrupt heaven.
"We are a blessing. That is who we are. That is our joy. It is our pleasure. It is our privilege to try and bankrupt heaven. God is looking you right in the eye and saying, "Go on, I dare you! Put Me to the test!"

Moving Day Made Easier- FlyLady-
Dear FlyLady,
Thank you for all that you and your crew have done for me and my large extended family.
I found Sink Reflections at my library in November of 2002, so I've been fluttering over 10 years now.
I want to quickly tell you that your encouragement, routines and decluttering have saved my sanity many times over. The more recent examples include moving from Ohio to California a year and a half ago, moving from an apartment to a townhouse six months ago, and getting through my husband's second back surgery earlier this week.
We moved twice within a year; the second time without moving help from my husband's company, but with lots of great packing tips from FlyLady. I am writing to express my thanks regarding color-coding boxes and bags. I sealed every full, numbered container with plain packing tape, then I put a single strip of colored duct tape on top and spilling over two sides a bit, so that even in a stack, you could tell one box color from another. Yellow for the kitchen, purple, red and blue for bedrooms, green for the living room, etc.
Yes, I spent somewhere between $30 and $50 for duct tape (with some left over), but I saved well over $250 in moving costs, since it took more than an hour less than the moving company's estimated time for their four-man crew to move us into the townhouse. I put each color of tape on a sign above the corresponding doorway, stairway or wall in the garage. Then I told the movers that red and blue make purple, so it would be easy for them to remember that those colors went upstairs. This tip, along with others from your website, made moving day easier. Even easier than our first long-distance move, when the movers packed for us.
Thanks again!
Many Blessings to you all,
Molly, a transplanted Buckeye in Mountain View, CA
FlyLady here: Sink Reflections is the first book I wrote.
In this book I tell you how I learned to FLY and then I go and teach you how to FLY, too!
Moving across town or across the country doesn't have to be hard. You can use my moving tips and FLY to your new home.
Thank you for all that you and your crew have done for me and my large extended family.

Book Review: Critical Pursuit
Missing children cases draw Officer Brinna Caruso like a moth to the flame. Her passion is to save as many children as she can once they have been abducted. With the help of her K-9 dog Hero, its often a rush against time to find them; alive that is. Things begin to happen and she has a temporary partner named Jack O'Reilly, who is a burned out detective, who lost his wife and child to a drunk driver. He's just going through the motions. Can Brinna count on him, in the critical situations they are put in? Will he have her back? That's about to be put to the test; as a child abductor similar to the one who took Brinna twenty years ago, has come to the surface full force.
I found this book an easy read; not only easy but it held my interest tightly through out. What I really mean is that I couldn't put it down and I read it straight through. The people were real, showing all their blemishes. I really liked tough Brinna and what you see happens as her carefully constructed life gets challenged. In the book some called her obsession (to save the kids) was out of balance, consuming all of her life. She had very little personal life to relax, she was always on the hunt with Hero at her side. This is a story that includes people who have lost their faith in God and also those who never had any faith in God. Brinna is one of those who is self-reliant, thinking their is no God. This was woven very skillful through the story without taking away the heart pumping action of trying to save the innocent and chasing the bad guys.
I liked this author's writing and at the end of this book was a short introduction to Brinna Caruso's next adventure called. "Visible Threat". Do I want to read it? That's a big, Yes! I found another author I liked and its my hope that this series of stories continues to be as enjoyable as this first read of "Critical Pursuit."

eBook Review: A Touch from Heaven
This is about the story of a family and their love for their young son.
Everything was going along like normal family life; just trying to live and love; to make a living. Then severe sickness begins to be seen in this precious little boy.
They don't even realize at first how really serious it is. The main person sharing is Neal but there is also thoughts and feelings shared by his wife as they hope against hope that Christopher will live. The reports of the medical field hold out no hope to them.
I liked this story because of its simplicity and honesty of their not knowing what to do. It was interesting to see how God was working in the background of their lives, bringing the couple together to fight by faith for the life of their son. This was such an area of the unknown for them. Interesting that he had become a non-practicing Christian and Carole came from the Jewish faith. There had a long ways to go and a short time to get there.
It was a helpful thing that they added healing scriptures in the book that they used. I also liked that they added the prophetic words that had been spoken over them.
I received this eBook free from Destiny Image Publishers (through NetGalley) in exchange for an honest review.
Some won't understand- Jesse Duplantis
Don't expect everyone to understand the calling on your life.
God has given you a divine destiny and it's not going to be like anyone else's.
It's your suit, your dress, your life!
No matter what God calls you to do, He will use you in a unique way.
Why?
Because you are unique.
You have something in you that is different from others.
God doesn't make clones.
Even identical twins look alike on the outside, but have different features on the inside
My input from Holy Spirit?
I can't wear someone else's armor.
Even David in the Bible couldn't do it!!!!!

eBook: Three River Ranch
The story line for this story was the usual man must marry to get his inheritance, a ranch that he wants to turn into a mustang sanctuary. But Carson Granger has no intention of knuckling down to his father trying to rule him from the grave. Okay; I have read a few books with this similar idea. Now add in Aurora McAllister, who has been two-timed by her fiance; still familiar. Things get more interesting when you add in the dog that Rory brings with her. Both Rory and her dog, Mistral have unusual hidden parts to their stories. Something not so hidden is Rory's very obvious pregnancy.
Yes, from the unusual way they meet until the story ends, you can see many differences.
I liked the story, although some of it was kind of predictable; it had added parts that made it different and fun. Like Carson's love, passion and knowledge of the wild horses, that was added to the story. The different people in the story were quirky and fun too. The only thing that made me uncomfortable about the story was Rory's sensing animals and people's feelings. At least they didn't attribute it to being physic; which I would have hated. The story never went into the why of it, just that it was a part of who she was.
