BOOK REVIEW: ANOMALY

Imagine the world you know now totally destroyed by a nuclear war.  There are survivors thanks to scientists called The Ten.   Being the geniuses that they are, they have hit on the solution to what they think will make for The Perfect world.  Answers to make sure that no one ever experiences war, and destruction that they had lived through.  Of course that means that they need to erase all emotions, all love, all feelings, in the people they now make.  They will ruthlessly annihilate anyone, who doesn't meet their cold, efficient standards.  Too bad Thalli  is what they fear the most, an anomaly.  She's done everything she can to hide it but she won't be able to for very much longer.  Her childhood friend Berk is a scientist that is being groomed by The Ten, he remembers Thalli, fondly. There is also talk about their being someone more powerful than The Ten. The Designer is his name and it seems that Thalli being an anomaly is part of his plan.

Intense, gripping; hard to put down book.  5 Star rating from me; with no hesitation.  Its like a world filled with generations of Mr. Spock.  Pure logic, no emotions or questions allowed, with each person having their  specific area of expertise.  Thalli's just so happens to be Music.   There are several movies that come to mind with a similar theme, too bad I can't think of the names of them.   But its not really that important; this writing was  truly attention holding.
