MY 5 STAR REVIEW- TITLED: Change is coming and it's gonna be fierce
Elena what a firebrand she was. Beautiful, stubborn and fierce. I could FEEL her determination to NOT bend to someone else's control ! Great writing by the author.
Lorenzo was a different kettle of fish at first. Unbending, controlling and I didn't like him at all ! Both of their father's are cold, controlling and brutal to their families, their children specifically. I began to warm to & respect Lorenzo when he began to develop a backbone against his father's wishes. I really enjoyed the dual P.O.V. which kept things even MORE interesting to me.
Elena always had a backbone but her father also knows her weakness. Protecting her younger brother, Santino. What a creep !
The intensity of the story, the drama, the fighting starts right off the bat.So does Elena's fear about her pregnancy being discovered ! And she has a right to be afraid. The only person who knows from the start is her best friend, Alessia. I have to admit more than once I had to wonder if she really had Elena's back or if she had her own separate agenda.
Matteo remains a question mark for a long time. Where does his loyalties really lie? Enemies begin to come after them from all sides. Even Lorenzo's father can't be trusted !
The story was intense all the way through but comes to a great end with a good Epilogue.
