MY 5+AMAZON REVIEW- Rylan and Siena what a couple !
I
loved the two of them. They were both dangerous, engaging people, with a
world of hurts AND enemies. The enemies who suddenly start coming out
of the woodwork after them. The story starts out with Rylan's P.O.V.
Then, Siena follows in the next chapter. I loved getting both of their
individual thoughts and inputs ! He didn't want to care about her and
didn't trust her. Of course not, he had great intel that showed him,
she was her father's assassin. Siena felt the same way about Rylan. He
wasn't to be trusted either. HE was dangerous !
Rylan has
some dangerous "friends". The closest one being, Reed. Smart, clever
and always planning. Although, he just might have a dangerous secret too
! Siena has no one on her side and she's always been alone. Things
start to change when Rylan comes into her world. I loved that when in
dangerous situations, their moves were surgical ! That they moved as one
! I also enjoyed the often "surgical" ways their words were used.
Short, terse and burst of words ! Chopped, used like they were only
allotted a small number that they were allowed to use ! The story was
tense, and this added to the tension. But not to worry, there is romance
!
Siena's father was one cold, evil man. He formed her
as His Weapon. The things she had to do to please her father were pure
evil. But she really had no choice. Until Rylan showed her, she just
might have a choice.
I loved how this book ended and wanted more !
There's a sneak peek into her next book. "Wed to the Enemy" follows Rylan & Siena and includes the story about Lucien and
Luna. It looks great and I want it ! It launches October 10, 2025.
I would have reviewed it on Goodreads but it didn't show up. and it's not on Bookbub either.
