BOOK REVIEW- Scotty (SEAL Team Ten #2) by Leslie North

Danger lurks around every corner… but it’s romance that comes as the biggest surprise

Navy SEAL Scotty Devonshire has one weakness: women. But a long-term relationship? That’s not his style—until Hayley Stevens walks into his life. All he wants is to find his SEAL teammate’s widow and clear his buddies’ names. Turns out Hayley, a hacker extraordinaire, is trying to find the same woman. Hayley’s smart, cute, and more fascinating than any woman Scotty has ever been with. He can’t get her out of his head, no matter how hard he tries.

Hayley is shocked to find that she and Scotty are searching for the same person. And she’s not so sure that Scotty and his teammates are as innocent as they claim. But despite her doubts, she can’t help but be attracted to the sexy SEAL. That chiseled body, those dreamy blue eyes… It’s only a matter of time before she gives in to smoldering temptation.

But when the two find themselves fighting for their lives, they both begin to wonder… will they live long enough to confess how they really feel about each other?

4 STARS

Scotty and Hayley had interesting depths to them and I enjoyed how Hayley refused to fall all over handsome Scotty.   The fact that she didn't, threw him for a loop with some hilarious encounters. Scotty is so used to women throwing themselves in his path everywhere he goes.  Yes, he's just that good looking and charming. Plus like the blurb suggests,  he really likes women.  It's even more fun to watch the two interact because they both are really attracted to each other. But they have a whole lot of dangerous things to work out too.

There is plenty of action and surprises in this book as well the romance.  I liked how the story ended although it's really more of a ending ..for now.   That surprised me that it did contain a cliffhanger when it comes to routing out the higher level powerful enemy.  So I guess that means that there will be at least another story in this series.  That left me with some mixed feelings because I was really liking the story, the surprises and I was really rolling with it.
