This book was a total surprise. Even the family dynamics of Danyal's (Danny) family was a surprise but a welcome one at that. They were as close to a normal family than what you usually see in a story about a Sheikh. And I enjoyed that immensely.
It goes without saying that I liked Jayne and her feet on the ground but also some stars in her eyes too. Her son, Noah was a hoot and the connection between Noah and Danny was so special. So was some of the funny conversations between the two of them. Noah was one smart little toddler.
Danny was one charming, people pleasing person. Some of those actions kept getting him in trouble. He also used humor as a cover. Making people laugh was not only pleasurable but it also diverted people from different things Danny didn't want noticed. As the story goes on we get to see that there is a whole lot more to that part of his story. A fair amount of depth to be sure.
I also got a bit of education along the way because I had never heard of Parkour.
This story has all the emotion that you could hope for and has a H.E.A. Danny had some growing up to do which he finally does.
The Epilogue was also a special touch, looking into their future.
