Surviving Your SERENGETI-- A Pleasant read

This is a nicely "painted" story. In this book the author has used his words skillfully; like a paint brush. And with that method he has brought the African wilderness and its animals into your imagination. The main character is a man who searching for answers to his business and life and being thrust into one of the most unlikely places; to his way of thinking. Each animal is then presented in the story separately to cause you think on its “style” of living . Not just living but really surviving in this harsh setting. Each chapter then has an overview of what has been shared on each animal style, with the challenge to discover where you fit in it all.

While the book was enjoyable to read; at times I just wished he’d get to the point and quit beating around the bush. Having said that, I also recognize that I usually look for and enjoy a “meaty” story, with a fair amount of study. This is a different style, one of the story teller, who told his story well. His job was to start you on the journey and that’s what he did.
