CARMEN- A GREAT MAIN CHARACTER. She said it's been a long time since she's been in the field. Carmen often pretends to be a writer for "Hidden Treasures" magazine. Her husband had been murder three years ago, the murder had never been solved and she was JUST getting back in the game. It sounds like Carmen's best friend Rhonda Rhodes is a pretty famous TV personality with a show called Antique Times who could be joining her in later adventures !
The Rosewood Agency is her employer. In this story the agency she is working for took on the art loss cases that no one else was willing or able to solve.
BARONESS- A GREAT PARTNER who uses her title and status as obscenely rich art collector to Carmen into parties and homes that would never be open to someone like her. Ironically, her title was in name only, lands lost generations ago. But her husband had a lot of money from stock portfolio and life insurance policy cashed in after he died of a heart attack on the stock market floor. It was Carmen's job to use her wits and a black-belt in karate to do her job without endangering The Baroness name and status. The Baroness, Lady Sophie Rutherford was Carmen's favorite partner and Sophie seems to really like Carmen too ! I enjoyed this short story and liked how the story ended. Short, interesting and not always sweet !
