BOOK REVIEW- Hacker Reexposed: A Second Chance Billionaire Romance (White Hat Security Book 1) by Linzi Baxter **

Hacker Reexposed is the first book in the White Hat Security romantic suspense series. If you like gutsy women, strong males, and action-packed twists and turns, you’ll adore Linzi Baxter’s roller-coaster romance.

It all started with a call from my past.

After scrimping and saving, Bridget Smith managed to get her forensic IT agency up and running. No small feat considering her father left her destitute and friendless after committing fraud, which forced her to change her identity. But her meticulously crafted façade crumbles when her next vital job is for a handsome former crush and casualty of her dad’s crimes.

Alex Ross runs his multibillion-dollar investment firm with an evenhanded iron fist. So when he uncovers missing money, he’s determined to find the person responsible. But he’s shocked to discover the white-hat hacker he hired is the stunningly hot daughter of the guy who ripped off his family.

Bridget is grateful he doesn’t hold her accountable for the sins of her father, and her relief rekindles forgotten attractions that quickly land them in bed, where Alex proves as dominant as he is in the boardroom. They work side by side to uncover crucial digital evidence, but neither could have guessed the cyberspace strikes would spill over into violent real-world attacks.

Can Bridget and Alex expose a dangerous scam and unlock the code to love? AMAZON LINK

This story had good, likeable main characters and solid interesting and sometimes funny secondary people.

The plot kept me interested all the way through. And had a H.E.A. ending.

This story had a good plot.  It also had two good people in an unusual situation.  Not your usual set of problems either.

One person that I didn't like was Douglas.  He was Jake's brother-in law and his campaign manager.  He had a bossy, controlling, nasty attitude with just about everybody.  I felt bad for Jake when he put up with some of the stuff that Douglas did.  It made me angry on his behalf.  It also made him look bad and I was looking for Jake to grow a backbone when dealing with him.  It also made me question whether or not he was a good guy in the end or not. Or was he just a power hungry guy?

There is a dramatic ending  followed by a good H.E.A.  Though it was well written I can't say that it is a favorite .

BOOK REVIEW - Driven (Deep Ops Book 4) by Rebecca Zanetti

Description

Publishers Weekly praised the Deep Ops series as exploding "with action, spice and humor," while Booklist promised that "fans of J. D. Robb and Karen Robards will love Zanetti's series." In this fourth installment, New York Times bestselling author Zanetti mixes high-octane action with even more intense romantic tension as two misfit operatives in a secretive Homeland Defense department chase down a diabolical serial killer.

Unswerving: Angus Force is determined to hunt down the serial killer he'd once shot dead--or so he thought. But an anonymous source reports that Lassiter is alive. Force hasn't slept since, knowing it's only a matter of time before "the Surgeon" strikes again. And soon, a body is found, bearing Lassiter's same maniacal MO. It's just the beginning of a murderous trail blazing through D.C. and Virginia, right to Force's backyard...

Unstoppable: Nari Zhang is the shrink for the ragtag Deep Ops Unit, though she isn't Force's shrink--which is a very good thing. Because once they're thrown together on the case, their attraction is explosive and irresistible. They'll just have to fight that much harder to keep the heat between them from flaming out of control. But things are about to become far more challenging, and deadly, than they could have imagined...

Unhinged: Once the killer catches a glimpse of Nari, she becomes his new obsession. She is now the focus point--for both Force and Lassiter--in a dangerous dance for survival... AMAZON LINK

I've been looking forward to this story for quite some time it seems.  What makes Angus Force tick?  We get to see a whole lot more than what we have seen before.  And I liked it a lot.  In fact, I would say the story is Outstanding, Stunning, with fast moving parts.  It was also emotional at times with a smart plot.

Oh and, Angus gets his chance to heat up the sheets. We always got to see how smart he was in  previous books if you have read them.  But in this one, we get to see that he is also a complex, hot guy. A wounded warrior, who draws women to him even though he's not really paying attention to that.  So many people are against him when it comes to Lassiter.  They think that he is obsessed with a dead man.  Also that he is an alcoholic nut.  You can imagine how many clashes that sets up. Even some of his team members try to get him to let it go but he just has to know for sure.

Speaking of those team members, they were an interesting eclectic group of what others called oddballs.   But they worked, they had their skills and had each other's backs.   Even Roscoe, adds his unique characteristics and skills to the story.  That would be the sneak a drink dog who "belonged" to Angus.

The stuff that Nari, (who I liked a lot), has had to put up was the first of several surprises.  There will be plenty of those though.  Plenty of action, danger, surprises and the ultimate surprise towards the end.  Loved it. Enough to give 5+ stars on Amazon when it opens for review.

There is also a teaser for Rebecca Zanetti's next book in her Dark Protector Series (Rebel's Karma).  And yes, that one looks pretty good too.

5 Ways to Receive Spiritual Gifts Through Your Dreams by Charity Kayembe

5 Ways to Receive Spiritual Gifts Through Your Dreams by Charity Kayembe: Did you know you could receive an overflow of Holy Spirit’s life and gifts while you sleep? You can! It’s easy, and it actually happened quite often in the Bible. Father knows that when we’re asleep is one of the best times to get our attention and He promised He would reveal Himself in visions and speak to us in dreams (Num. 12:6). He declared in the last days He would pour out His Spirit and the result would be the seeing of visions and dreaming of dreams (Acts 2:17).

This book had a great opening chapter.  It was nothing like what I was expecting but that was also a really good thing.  I remember thinking, "What?".   The emotional parts also had great depth without being sappy. About the time it seemed like things happening in Lexi's life was clear that's about the time another curve was thrown.  It made for an intense and a"grab you" kind of story.

I also joined in with the laughter of Gavin's team of friends.  That was when it came to the obnoxiously named drinks that Lexi was sending Gavin in the bar.   Every time he made a misstep with her, he got a drink like "Pain in the Ass" or "Duck Fart" just to name a few.  Hilarious.

The other people in the story added without overwhelming.  I feel that even if this is the first story a person has read in the series it would still be a good standalone.

The story kept me involved all the way through.  With the danger ratcheting up even more with a surprise twist until it comes to a stunning conclusion.

By the way, I have to applaud the author in her use of eBook covers for this book and the others in this series.

For me, this was a 5 Star story all the way !

What a great start.  It grabs the interest right away.  It's also full of surprises.

Both Paloma and Dante are NOT what you might be expecting.  But I really liked them BOTH a lot.  As characters they also had really good depth as did the story plot.

The terrorist plot was a bit of a surprise and had some elements of what our world is facing right now.  While that made me a bit uncomfortable, the story was just too good to miss.

The story has an excellent ending which I also enjoyed.
