A well written STUDY about control that it is in all human nature whether you are sitting in a church or not. But of course he makes the case that this something that should not be happening or flourishing in our churches. The author talks about 3 different types of control that we can use in differing levels. Intimidation, manipulation, domination.
Craig Green shows that a second problem comes with the manifestation of control; controlling others is ultimately an unwinnable game, causing endless strife, pain, and division. No one wins all the time.
This is why he used the example of rock, paper, scissors throughout his study.
The answer? True victory only comes when the game-playing is surrendered and the motivation of the heart becomes, like Jesus, to serve in humble submission.
Definitely a book written for Study and use as a course.
