Aspartame Being Re-Branded as AminoSweet: The Next Chapter in Aspartame's Dangerous History

Aspartame Being Re-Branded as AminoSweet: The Next Chapter in Aspartame's Dangerous History

aspartame-name-change-amino-sweet

Aspartame’s presence in the world’s food supply has been the subject of great protest and controversy since the mid-1980′s when then CEO if Searle, Donald Rumsfeld, pushed for it’s approval to be sold on the market. As you may or may not remember, Mr. Rumsfeld went on to become George W. Bush’s Secretary of Defense. But aside from Aspartame’s availability on the market proving, once again, the ease in which someone could take advantage of the Crony-Capitalist door that links Government and corporations, Aspartame has been consistently proven to harm whoever, or whatever, consumes it.

Aspartame is an artificial, non-saccharide sweetener used as a sugar substitute in many foods and beverages. In the European Union, it is codified as E951, and is most popularly sold under the NutraSweet and Equal brand names.
The possible association between specific artificial sweeteners and cancer?
Studies in laboratory rats during the early 1970s linked saccharin with the development of bladder cancer. For this reason, Congress mandated that further studies of saccharin be performed and required that all food containing saccharin bear the following warning label: “Use of this product may be hazardous to your health. This product contains saccharin, which has been determined to cause cancer in laboratory animals.”The FDA’s own toxicologist, Dr. Adrian Gross told Congress that without a shadow of a doubt, aspartame can cause brain tumors and brain cancer and that it violated the Delaney Amendment, which forbids putting anything in food that is known to cause cancer.
“In 2005, the European Ramazzini Foundation published new findings of a long-term feeding study on aspartame conducted in rats. Scientists from ERF concluded from their study that aspartame causes cancer and the current uses and consumption of the sweetener should be re-evaluated.” (Read More Here) And what do you know? The EFSA and the FDA both found that the ERF’s conclusion was not supported by the data they collected, and that there was no need to “further review earlier scientific opinion on the safety of aspartame or to revise the Acceptable Daily Intake.”
The Little-Known Phenylketonuria Problem
Phenylalanine is an essential amino acid which the body is only able to receive through diet. It can be found in most animal products, and also human breast milk. The interesting thing is that aspartame is also broken down into Phenylalanine, among other things.
Sounds like a rare upside to aspartame, right? Read on.
“Turns out that one in 15,000 people in the world has a genetic disorder called Phenylketonuria. Their body can’t metabolize synthesize phenylalanine. As it builds up in the body, it causes all sorts of bad things to happen, such as mental retardation, seizures, and other brain damage. People suffering from Phenylketonuria (or PKU) are called phenylketonurics. They need to constantly monitor their protein intake. They are also warned about consumption of products containing aspartame – hence the warning on labels – ‘Phenylketonurics – contains phenylalanine.’”
Aspartame, and other artificial sweeteners, like Sucralose, are almost impossible for the body to break down completely because it is foreign to what the body was designed to assimilate. We are organic beings, made to use organic produce as fuel for our bodies. Because there are few natural processes that are able to pass these chemicals through the body, they are often stored, and eventually cause weight gain. On top of that, artificial sweeteners contain free methyl alcohol which is classified as a narcotic.
“It causes methanol poisoning which affects the dopamine system of the brain and causes addiction.”
So, now not only it is extremely difficult to break down the essential elements of the substance, it is physically addicting! Which is why diet products eventually make you fatter than the original products! And as of November 2009, in a more recent attempt to entrap people into becoming slaves to dangerous product lines, Aspartame has been re-branded under the name “AminoSweet.” So, you see, it isn’t about providing a quality product and reforming faulty business models; it’s about merely tricking people into consuming chemical additives.
It is also important to note that Natural Cures Not Medicine does not endorse the consumption of processed cane sugar, and have always suggested that people have as little as possible. There is a reason why sugar injections are often used to make cancer “light up” on scans; sugar is FOOD for cancer. Raw, all-natural sweeteners, like Raw Honey, are always a better bet.
Isn’t it funny how most drugs and chemicals are approved, no matter the danger, when a profit stands to be made? How many times do we have to recall deadly drugs like Baycol, Vioxx, Posicor, or Bextra, before we get the hint: The people of the world are being used as lab rats for big pharma’s profit-first mentality. The aim for all of these companies is never to improve the health of people; it is to increase profits for shareholders, create life-long customers, create product addiction, and to make reproduction as cheap as possible.
If doctors and the FDA could start approving food to treat conditions there would be no overdoses and drastic reductions in new cancer cases. Cancer is a result of separating man from nature; the more synthetic chemicals and toxins that enter our body the more chance we have of getting diseases such as cancer.
We get a lot of hate mail here at Natural Cures Not Medicine, telling us that we are making people sick and spreading disinformation. But the truth is, we only suggest you eat FOOD at the end of the day, not chemicals, toxins, or medications. Those are what kill people, not drinking celery juice to try to control your blood pressure; not trying to use bananas to whiten your teeth. Man has been on earth for thousands and thousands of years. Medicine has been around for 100 or so years. Who needs who?

Apostasy Rising: 4 Denominations In Less Than a Week Defy God's Word

Apostasy Rising: 4 Denominations In Less Than a Week Defy God's Word

Homosexuality in the American church

The United Church of Christ (UCC) bills itself as "the church where God is still speaking." Apparently, God's Word is falling on deaf ears of the leadership.

The UCC, which considers itself a mainline Protestant denomination—claiming over 1 million members and about 5,200 congregations in the U.S.—proudly announced it will serve as a major sponsor of the Gay Games. The UCC will now go down in Christian history as the first major denomination to sponsor the homosexual Olympics when the games roll into Cleveland, Ohio, in August.
I guess my jaw shouldn't have dropped when I read the news, considering the UCC in April filed a gay marriage rights lawsuit in North Carolina. But not only did my jaw drop, I'm shaking my head. J. Bennett Guess, one of the UCC's national officers and its first openly gay church executive, calls it a social justice issue and says the denomination prides itself on "being a bold voice for progressive Christianity."
In case you aren't familiar with what the term "progressive Christianity" really means, let's take a moment to define it. Progressive Christianity has a strong focus on social justice and environmentalism. Progressive Christianity focuses on concepts like "collective salvation"—where entire cultures and societies, rather than just individuals with faith in Christ, are redeemed—and bends toward a Marxist economic philosophy. And Progressive Christianity does not subscribe to the biblical doctrine of the inerrancy of Scripture.
That last line explains a lot. For example, it explains why the UCC was the first mainline denomination to affirm equal marriage rights for same-sex couples  It explains why the UCC was the first to ordain an openly gay man. And, overall, it explains why the UCC has fallen into the deception of sponsoring events that celebrate LGBT people instead of trying to love them to Christ.
But even denominations that don't consider themselves part of the Progressive Christianity movement are falling into this deception. The Presbyterian Church (USA) last week voted to allow its ministers to perform gay weddings in states where it's legal. On Tuesday, Methodist Pastor Frank Schaefer, who was defrocked for officiating his son's gay wedding, was fully reinstated and the Moravians voted to ordain gay clergy. My research shows there's a long and growing list of gay-affirming denominations, including the Affirming Pentecostal Church International

Saints, we're seeing 1 Timothy 4:1 playing out right before our very eyes. It's called the Great Apostasy and it's well underway. By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul wrote: "Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons..."
Back in 2012, I wrote an article titled, "Is the Great Falling Away Already Underway?" In it, I explained that some have indeed departed from the faith because they have engaged with deceiving spirits and embraced doctrines of demons. We've witnessed more than one man of God with a major ministry platform bow a knee to doctrines  like universalism, deceiving and being deceived with this deadly heresy. Despite many in the church lifting their voice against heretical teachings, these deceived ministers hold fast to their demonic doctrine.
In the article, I show other examples. I would not have imagined that 18 months later I would have an overflowing list of new ones. That's why I am praying for a third Great Awakening. I am committed to crying out to God to see a cultural transformation—a spiritual revolution.

Although the Great Falling Away is going to happen because it's prophesied in Scripture, I am contending for a revival—a Great Awakening—that will sweep through the nation and cause people to turn back to God. I will not give up. The arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear (Is. 59:1).
Before each of the last Great Awakenings, people of God thought it was hopeless—and they didn't see the half of what we're seeing. But I am convinced God wants to turn this around—and I am convinced God can turn this around. Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). A Great Awakening is our only hope for this nation. Will you join me in praying for another Great Awakening?

Kids Start a Dog Rescue Revolution

Kids Start a Dog Rescue Revolution

Ava of Operation Ava

It all began in 2009 with a trip to a local animal shelter in Philadelphia. Ava Gutierrez, then 9 years old, and sister Lexie, then 12, expressed dismay at the conditions of the dogs and cats housed there and their grim prognosis if forever homes were not found. They concocted ways to raise money for animals in need, but sparked a lot more than that through their actions, launching a movement named after the younger girl.

Why You Need the Apostolic Grace

Why You Need the Apostolic Grace

athlete

When apostolic believers gather for a late night breakfast after a long day of church-building, there are a few threads that tend to get woven through almost every conversation: warfare, work and, if there's a prophet in the mix, perhaps casting out devils.
But seriously, even though one can't separate warfare from the apostolic—if we had a Christianese thesaurus these two words would surely be synonymous—apostolic living is not only about fighting principalities and powers over territories. (Really!)
So you don't have to be a skilled warrior to cross over to the apostolic. Your local apostolic church will equip you to submit yourself to God and resist the devil. You just have to possess a determination to be all you can be in Christ.
Doubtless, the warfare will come just as sure as Jesus will come for a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle. But it's not always the sharpest sword that wins the fight. The victor is just as often the one that can endure the longest. The apostolic grace is an enduring grace and apostolic living is a life of endurance. Jesus said he who endures to the end would be saved (Matt. 10:22).
For those of you who are already living the apostolic life, this may not be a new revelation, but it should be a welcome reminder. And for those who are entering into the apostolic, I want to emphasize that we do more than fight the good fight of faith. We also take coffee breaks, vacations and enjoy popcorn and a good, clean movie when we need a quick breather from taking the gospel to the uttermost parts of the earth. Apostolic living means working hard, but it also means balancing that work with healthy fun because we know that our adversary the devil is roaming about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.
The apostolic brings with it an endurance-boosting grace that will carry you through the most trying times if you follow the Spirit of God. Brother Webster calls this inner grit a "firmness of mind and spirit, an unyielding courage in the face of hardship or danger." Excuses are your enemy and in the Church of Jesus Christ there is no such thing as instant grit.
Excuses or "excusions" as a German minister I know calls them, are not tolerated. I tried every excusion in the book during my first year or so in an apostolic church. No matter how well I pled my case, the leadership wasn't swayed by my full symphony orchestra with its classical reasoning tunes. That's not to say that there is no compassion in the apostolic church. Just like God, apostolic leaders love you too much to leave you the way you are. They know that in order to be more than a conqueror you need to graduate from the milk to the meat of the Word, from bacon and eggs only to apostolic grit.
Apostolic living requires dedication and commitment to searching one's own heart and allowing leadership to speak into your life. Every maturing Christian (and we'll all be maturing until Jesus comes back to get us!) should have those they minister to and those that minister to them. Don't hesitate to get feedback from both sides. I recently asked one of my leaders what was the biggest flaw in my mindset that was holding me back. She said, er, I won't tell you what she said. What I will tell you is that she spoke the truth in love, I received the truth that is setting me free and I am thankful for it (and a little grittier, too).
Remember, apostolic living is a life of endurance. We endure spiritual attacks. We endure hard truths. We endure growing pains. We endure, endure and endure some more. And we have the grit necessary to do it.
Whenever my emotions begin to rage against thoughts of the discipline required to till the ground of my soul and plant seeds of change so that God can bring a supernatural harvest of spiritual growth, I read the Apostle Paul's second letter to Timothy and the sage advice it contains to a young believer embracing the first apostolic reformation.
"When the going gets rough, take it on the chin with the rest of us, the way Jesus did. A soldier on duty doesn't get caught up in making deals at the marketplace. He concentrates on carrying out orders. An athlete who refuses to play by the rules will never get anywhere. It's the diligent farmer who gets the product. Think it over. God will make it all plain" (2 Timothy 2:3-7 MSG).
Somehow that always straightens me right out. Apostolic believers aren't perfect. They stumble and fall just like everybody else. The difference is that they get right back up and get right back into the fight. They are ready to take it on the chin for Jesus. They are ready to strain to reach the end of the race and receive the crown that God, through Christ Jesus, has for us. They are willing to endure to the end for the sake of the lost souls that have not yet heard the Good News.

Joseph Prince - See The Invisible, Do The Impossible DVD Trailer

BOOK REVIEW:CHILD OF MINE

Authors David & Beverly Lewis co-written fiction novel about Jack Livingston raising his ophaned adopted niece, Natalie.  Added in is "Nattie's" Amish  nanny, Laura Mast who has loved and helped raise her since she was a baby.  Also add Kelly Maines, who has been searching for her stolen baby for eight years.  Get ready; all of these lives are about to collide and nothing will ever be the same again.

What a well written, multi-layered story!   I really enjoyed it and about the time I thought things were beginning to be easy to guess what would happen next, "wham, a new twist, a new surprise revelation showed up."  I like that, it was so well written that you didn't find it to hard to follow the different people and stories that began to unfold.  That takes talent, skill and warmth.   I had looked at other books that were written by Beverly Lewis but this is the first book I have read by her.  I guess I was afraid it would be "too Amish".  Wrong!   It was just right and a delight; I'm glad that this couple worked together on this work.

I received a free copy of this novel from Bethany House Publishers as part of their book review program through Baker Publishing Group, and I am under no obligation to write a positive review.

DRY EYES?

Dry eyes? Here are foods and drinks that offer relief!      NATURAL NEWS

NaturalNews) People often complain of having dry eyes, whether it's due to allergies, contact lens use or an underlying health condition. In fact, about 33 million Americans suffer from the frustrations of dry eye (1).

However, rather than turning to repeated use of over-the-counter eye drops, which may cause blurred vision and systemic problems such as weakness, blood pressure changes and stomach pain (1), there are healthy foods and drinks that alleviate the bothersome feeling. They have the ability to fight dry eye naturally, restoring moisture levels to the eyes safely and easily.

Top foods and drinks to help fight dry eye

1) Kale

Dark, leafy greens such as kale and spinach contain antioxidants that fight oxidative stress (2). Since harmful free radicals can contribute to dry eye, eating foods rich in antioxidants may combat this problem.
2) Water

Consume plenty of water. It helps the entire body stay hydrated, and this of course includes keeping eyes moisturized. According to the Institute of Medicine, women should have about 90 ounces of water daily, and men should strive for a minimum of 125 ounces daily (1). This water should come from both purified drinking water and food.

3) Bananas

Food high in potassium, such as bananas, kelp, almonds, avocado and figs, are helpful in fighting dry eye, since it's been observed that those with the condition often have low potassium levels (1). Dr. Michael Lange, optometric physician and certified nutrition specialist, explains that lack of potassium and dehydration go hand in hand. He says that, since potassium helps the body maintain proper electrolyte levels which can be compromised by dehydration, the link between obtaining adequate water (as mentioned above) and potassium makes it obvious that people with dry eye should consume both (3).

4) Walnuts

Foods with a high omega-3 content, such as walnuts and ground flax seeds, are recommended by the Mayo Clinic to obtain dry eye relief (4). The anti-inflammatory properties that omega-3 contains is thought to play in a role in relief.

The Clinic also suggests other tips such as stopping smoking and taking eye breaks (closing eyes for a few minutes or blinking rapidly), especially if one is regularly at the computer, to help replenish the eyes' moisture levels.

Long Walk w/God

Stormie Omartian/Facebook

Even if you’ve walked with God your whole life, you can still learn something new from Him. It may be a new dimension of what you already know, or it may be something you have never seen before.

Either way, it’s not enough to just learn the truth; you must act on it. When you read God’s Word, ask God to help you practically apply it to your life.

James Goll: Learning To Recognize God's Voice: Soaking In His Presence

Soaking?  Yes, its not called that in the Bible.  BUT, the soaking concept is still there all over the place!

BOOK REVIEW: UNWRAPPING LAZARUS

Dr.Peter Carter walks you through and helps give you insights into overcoming negative, destructive thoughts and actions that have held you bound, in death like clothes like Lazarus.  At the end of each chapter is a few helpful questions to help you walk things through.

I found this book, enjoyable, and insightful, with the added angle that comes from the author being a doctor.  Not to worry, Dr. Carter doesn't bore you with over medical terms; but is easy to read and relate to.   I like that he breaks down the chapters into the categories that he did.  Like, bringing life back to Hope, unwrapping imagination, unwrapping discouragement, and unwrapping hinderances to spiritual health, just to name a few.  I really liked, the point that he made about realizing his priorities of being church-first  mindset was off kilter.  Instead he realized he needed to be Kingdom-first minded.  He gives full credit to the Holy Spirit helping him get there.   I loved the humility and realness that the author showed time and again in the way he wrote this book.  I think this book is one that I will refer to more than once.   Great enouragement tool!

I was given this book FREE from Chosen (a Division of the Baker Publishing Group) in exchange for an honest review.
