My 4 Star Review TITLED: Shy Elena & Dangerous Maxim
Elena Karetov was a young woman so disliked by her father for reasons she doesn't understand. Her mother is constantly criticizing her and not doing anything to protect her. Sure her mother is married to a mafia man but still. Why does her father hate her so much. She's terrified of him and when he wants to marry her off to some old, balding, yucky man? She couldn't say no but felt like she was going to vomit. But Maxium is intrigued by her; the woman her parents think is ugly and just a problem. But Elena is soon to wed Sergi and then Mikhail but Maxium has other plans. There is a mean but kind of hilarious scene when it comes to Maxium's help? Maxium warns Elena early on not to trust other mafia wives especially Alissa but being naive she doesn't listen and it made me want to smack her. Maxium isn't a good guy ; he's violent and enjoys his work a lot. It's fun to him. But he does want Elena to continue her studies and to bring her out of her shell. He's got his work cut out for him. But to her? He's so good and patient.
I liked Elena's older sister, Lana who is married earlier to a high ranking mafia man who their father hates but it's all about pride and control for him. Lana and her husband Nikolai do try to help her though. Elana's younger sister is only 16 years old and doesn't really get it. But you just know their father, Gregor is NOT going to leave her out of his scheming either. Gregor is a REALLY nasty man and father.
Elena writes really good poetry and Maxium encourages her in it. Others try to stand in her way. Time to develop a backbone and she begins to!
Great twists towards the end with an equally good ending for their story.

My 5 Star Review TITLED: REALLY Good !
Romeo Ravelli has everything under control of his opening of his newly designed casino . Until he doesn't. Viola gets shot during a walk through and several windows get ruined.
She was with Carlo for several years until she finally left him. She holds a lot of secrets about Carlo; most she doesn't realize a first. Yep, it becomes clear very quickly that he's charming but also out for himself. He wants to look big and Viola small. But she's determined that's never going to happen. So she enters into an agreement with Romeo. He's better than she's been told. Sal Greco is Romeo's head of security and a man to be trusted. Others? Maybe not so much.
I liked Romeo and Viola together and how intimate that they become. And at time so sweet ! By chapter 16, I kept wondering something. "Is everything going to go sideways for the main characters and if so, When?" That kept surprising me when some of the things did.
Carlo had YEARS of planning to take over Romeo's position. Didn't matter that they were brothers. So sad ! But the ending is not !

My 4 Star Review:Everyone thinks they have control
Artem is the Volkov enforcer and the right hand man of Benedekt Volkov. His father is a hard man who uses Artem to do the violent, hard stuff. Artem is his hand of judgement in the organization. Misha is the soft playboy who has been with Cady (Caitlin) Gallagher. She's an Irish mafia princess with 2 brothers who love her and her father who doesn't. To him she has her uses. But she's beginning to draw the line and he doesn't like that a bit. To him she's a chess piece to be moved and used as he sees fit. Her brothers are Rian, the careful, observing brother. The quiet one and probably the most dangerous of the two because of that. The younger brother, Killian is the reckless, hot headed brother who will fight for her if he was to.
Misha is a moron and Cady knows that; her father should have aimed her at Artem instead to get intel. But Cady and her father realize that he is the more dangerous one and would catch her right away. Oh, well. He does catch her spying pretty early and just keeps watching. Add to that there is finally some spicy times between them because he just can't resist taking her.
Things get really dangerous for Cady when Misha finally gets it that she really doesn't want to marry him and doesn't even really like him. Artem knows even more and more that his brother is a moron and presents several dangerous problems.
Great ending with problems taken care of in a surprising way.

My 4 Star review TITLED: Their worlds just changed

My 5 Star Review TITLED: The Sharks are already circling
Ava Moretti is absolutely terrified that history might be repeating itself when it comes to destruction of another fancy hotel. She is also totally terrified of Damian Cross, he's the biggest corrupt shark of them all. But she just CAN'T let someone else die when she might be able to prevent it. She's brilliant at her work, always thinking. But so was her former brilliant structural engineer at Azure Point and Elena died beneath the rubble of that place. In the three years Ava has been gone there is a man named Julian who has been a shadow helper as well. He just has to stay alive!
Matteo is a good guy although like everyone knows he's also controlling and Ava just wasn't having any of that. She stands her ground. Matteo does have some really good people on this side. Like his cousin, Nico who is the head of his security. Nico is VERY good at his job and he will need to be. There are traitors already inside his structure but I liked and never suspected Priya of any wrong doing. However, Victor Hale seems to be a smaller shark that is on the hotel's board and definitely needs watching. Is he an inside man or just someone being used? So many great question! This author kept me questioning, wondering, and asking myself questions like this.
But don't relax because there isn't any time for that as you read and the M.C.'s and the people who are helping know it all too well. Ava and Matteo do have some time for humor, some spicy times and some VERY intelligent moves on their part until the very end. By the way, I loved the cover for this eBook !

This story kept me guessing on the edge of my seat. Hoping for the best for this painfully separated little family. Luke and Emma were so in love and so looking for to their life with their baby. Almost brought me to tears more than once. Also made me angry at times because of the evil that was going on. People being torn apart.
I don't want to give too much away , so I will end with that. Definitely glad that I read it !

My 5 Star Review TITLED: Fears & Sweet Memories
Lily has been on the run for 3 weeks with her VERY protective dog, Zeus . I loved their relationship ! The emotional tension hits right away. I could feel it before I got even through half of the first chapter. She's been running from her abusive fiancee Victor Morettis and he's one controlling piece of dirt. And I would out his mother, is the one he was cut from that same cloth !
James, was the best ! Not controlling her but being there for her every step of the way without crowding her. Making sure she has choices. Does he want her? Yes, but he's not pushing her ! They have known each other since they were kids but too shy to make the final move. Boy, did she choose the wrong man !
I kept thinking throughout the story, "Please don't let any harm come to Lily, or James and especially not to Zeus ! "
As the tension mounts I couldn't help but wonder if Victor and the troubles at James business are connected in any way, But James has some great people working for him.

My 3 Star review titled: Shadow Enemies
Jessie and Lexi are together. He thinks that he is protecting her by keeping secrets. And she trusts him until he lied about something VERY important and it blows up in his face. He swore no more secrets would he be keeping from her. Lexi has her doubts but some of her trust is restored. But it looks like he's keeping even more secrets. Big ones to protect her. Well, that's not going to end well ! What a dumb man. This could get them both killed. They are fighting Phoenix and now who is Echo? Seems like there is someone against them in the game. They never saw that one coming. I do have to admit that I found it hard to follow at times. Intense twist, surprises that left me wondering how in the world this was going to end good for them in the end.

My 5 Star Review TITLED: Emotional from the start !
Michael has the cruelest mother and father ever. They are all about image, and their family Bancroft name ! He finds out years too late that they drove his first love, Olivia away. They paid her to disappear and abort his baby ! If she didn't they would take the baby! They had power and lots of money. He is LIVID when he finally finds out. They stole years from him and Bobby but also now Olivia is dead; but now he has to tread carefully.
Grace and the grandmother don't trust him an inch. But the grandmother who Bobby calls Nana is a wise, praying woman. It really is slow progress for Michael Bancroft but he doesn't want to scare them off with Bobby. Any threat could make them run. He was done letting his parents run things. Running over him as an older adult. He's not some innocent, blind 19 year old anymore. But he knows that they aren't about to make it easy for him or his new family. His parents don't just let things go. They had his life all planned after all.
Bobby was such an awesome kid, with people a smart, kind kid. His love for space caused him to be a 4 1/2 year old genius who keeps learning, teaching others and even correcting Michael when it came to the wrong form of explanations. It was hilarious and sweet at the same time. I adored their developing relationship; along with the friendship that finally starts forming between Grace and Michael !
This has to be one of the sweetest stories that I've read in a long time. Loved the Epilogue and the author note at the end. It explains that this story is based on a real-life boy who lives in Alabama. That made it even more special for me.

My 4 Star Review TITLED: Interesting Romance Story
Riley is great at her job but someone is setting her up for a fall. Curtis Bell is her boss and he bails on her during an important event. The he just disappears. That's something that she learns later and she's worried about him. Things aren't making any sense. However, at the event her assistant, Nina helps her take care of everything for the event. She's very capable. During this event, Vincenzo has been watching her from the balcony and can't stop watching her !
They begin a very intense relationship that gets VERY heated ! I liked the two of them together. At one point he takes her to dinner at his mother's house. That dinner has 8 family members there, some small dinner, lol. A very unusual but interesting interactions with them and his mother likes her right away ! Vincenzo has his trusted man, Gil watching over her sister, Paige. Which creates some interesting push and pull between the two of them.
Riley, meets a very charming man , Mr. Avery at an event with Vincenzo but Vincenzo warns her away from him. Jealousy? Yes a bit but he knows more than he tells her at first. This man is dangerous and they find he has been behind the scenes for some time. What else has he been doing?
Paige and Riley's mother are something else that is good. I really liked them both. The surveillance by the enemy intensify as do the dangers. Plenty of twists and turns. Some really bad secrets are revealed before the dramatic but good ending.

My 5 Star Review TITLED: Family Battles What a great story this is. I read the books out of order. But it still was a winner to me. Romeo just wanted to be wanted for himself. His dead father never saw him as worthy and even after dead and buried still wanted to use him ! Romeo hated the idea of the marriage deal with Valentia; a woman he's never met. But after meeting Nova, he became obsessed with her . After all, she got in his face , not scared of him at all and told him his manager was a crook and that Romeo had failed at handling things ! Wow, no one had ever done that before. She was different. They struck a lovers deal that she adds some conditions to. No connection with her siblings. Her 13 year old sister, Marisol and 10 year old brother Tomas. Well, that didn't last long and she she became his secret wife..for now. Romeo lies to himself that he only married her to kill the deal with Valentia's family. Nova marries him because she sees that he needs her !He knew that it meant war but also put targets on his new family ! There was fire between Romeo and Nova, ice on Marisol's part towards Romeo and idol worship on Tomas's face. Now, the intensity ramps up, putting Romeo's brothers and the rest of the family in the danger zone. I loved every minute of it. Lorenzo was the first delightful surprise. He's around 50 years old and his son, Alessio is 24 years old. Alessio is the charming, funny one of the family who is always there with a grin and laughter. He's not laughing now ! In fact, he's devastated at the death of Genevieve Sorel. They had one night and he really liked her. He planned on seeing her the next day. He's angry at himself that he didn't stay with her that night but he had an early "duty" with his family. And he had to be there ! Marco, the Don of the family, loves them all but duty is duty. The family attorney, Julian helps but they need more, so he knows and recommends Donna Costa as a great PI.
Donna Costas is a great Private Investigator and quickly spots something that the family's people missed ! They have an enemy that just won't quit. Well, Donna also has a great side kick that I enjoyed so much ! His name is Mocha. He's a large German Shepard that she has trained to an inch of his life. Mocha adores Donna and is a Major help to her as she investigates. I liked how they worked together at the office, on the road and at home.
Their enemy is intense, but Donna and Lorenzo develop their own intense, hot relationship. I loved their banter and how tender Lorenzo could be with Donna. When she let him. The family later pulls Donna and Mocha in. And it's a large Italian family ! There is quite the interesting twist about the death of Genevieve and it kept me all in !
Great chase scene towards the end with a wonderful, sweet ending.

My 5 Star Review TITLED: The Mother kept them apart for Years!
Jade Ellis only met her father, Frank once in her life. It was brief and it was painful. She never went back until she got the notice from his attorney. On the outside, the cottage looks like a wreck. But when she goes inside she makes plans on how to better it so that she can sell it quickly. Her nearest neighbor of 22 years, greeted her and said that Frank talked about her. Odd. Much later, we learn that here cruel mother ASKED Frank to stay away, so he loved Jade from afar. I hated that her mother did that. She stole years from Jade and Frank.
Sawyer wasn't cruel; he was patient, quiet and a man who greeted her gruffly with few words for a long time. Jade didn't know that Sawyer had been left by so many people. That is until he showed up at 19 years old and Frank "quietly" drew him in. She also didn't know that for 8 years Sawyer had quietly loved her from a far as well. He had never left there because he hoped that she would return and they might have a chance together. Frank's love for the both of them was so special !!
I loved the quiet friendships that developed for Jade and the special one between Tessa, who became her trusted sounding board. Later Tessa and her husband Reid come to dinner together, making it even more special.
A HUGE business opportunity comes up for Jade and now she has a very serious decision to make. I loved the sweet ending of this story as well.

Harper Sullivan is human but not totally. She has a connection to the trees in the area and a not often used magic of being able to connect with anything metal. She thinks she's not good enough for this magical community. But she really has quite a few people who love her. Even Nathaniel Silverthorne, who is a well liked lawyer, is her boyfriend and finds her extraordinary ! Interesting because "Nate" is a vampire ! This Connecticut community is wild and usually pulls together to help each other. His family is also his mother, a brother and a sister who also work the faire. Harper has only been there for a year but finds she loves it and the Spellbooks shop that she now owns. Cassandra is her only employee . Harper's best friend is Bella who is quite a support for her.
It's Harper's idea to include humans and to invite other magical people from outside their community. There's a bit of a pushback about that but she wins. She knows what it feels like to not feel like she fits in anywhere and doesn't want for anyone else to feel that!
Luna, the moon rabbit from an earlier book and spreads her own brand of chaos and helps unwittingly. There are plenty of interesting "people" in this story as well.
The story is fun, charming, intense at times and a really surprising, whirlwind of an ending.

My Review 5 Star Notes TITLED: He's the Brilliant Brain
Interesting Prologue ! Isadora hates Giovanni Rivas with an icy passion. All she did was say, No, to him using her and then he did what he said he would. He erased her ! Not dead but now she was a ghost who killed for others; not him ! Dante was the Trained Brain cruelly trained from young to notice things and he does. He hardly never really notices that though. Isadora was trained to notice things also because she HAD to in order to survive ! No one has every rattled to her before Dante. And she's got job to do and she's studied her prey for quite a while. A man, outside her assignment has been watching her and helping her at time. He said to watch the young man. He was an interesting addition to the story, Anyway, when Isadora and Dante first meet, he's bolted in a chair with injuries. He's only 19 years old and she's 40 years old but when he looks at her? He sees her. No man as ever seen her as a person; just a weapon or being the one who killed them. He sees another person like him; another brain, someone like him. Never happened before ! He begins to see just how cruel his father was to him and his other 3 brothers.
He was also more dangerous when hurt. I liked that thought. Look out Isadora ! I loved the reverse age difference in this dark romance with her being the older one.
In the beginning I did have one problem having never read any other other books. It took me a while to find the rhythm to know who was speaking. However, I fell in love with Isadora and Dante. In fact, the whole family was awesome ! Romeo, Nora and her 13 year old sister, Marisol and 10 year old Tomas were especially interesting in their interactions and their expressions of love ! Now, I wish I had read her story; sounds interesting as well. The rest of the brothers, have their own skills and their own stories.
There are many levels of dangers and a very BIG Mole. It gets really intense !
I love the fact that it is said by several from time to time that although the men are dangerous? The women in this family are more so. And that is proved time and again in the story. Isadora is no different. She's really different but also very dangerous too !
There are many levels of betrayal and most get destroyed. But there are several circles of hell that haven't been destroyed. Yet ! That battle continues in the next story of another brother, called The Pawn and I know that's going to be VERY interesting as well.
