Amina is NOT immune. Leon (the other main character) can't keep his eyes off her either; especially when he hears her speaking flawless French ! Things progress from there !!!
Marguerite Lefevre wants Leon to take Amina under his wings for protection ONLY ! He doesn't want to do it but then he's out for good ! Marguerite is so manipulative,controlling and holding so many dangerous secrets ! Leon has known her for so long and doesn't trust her but does it anyway! Marguerite is always trying to get her way. It's her way or or the highway ! Often with pain included, fee of charge. All the time Leon keeps look for his "Little songbird" (Camille) But he also retaliates against Marguerite in his own for Amina's sake. Very creatively ! Marguerite is so good at telling lies and it turns out that Amina is pretty good at that too ! It takes a long time for Leon to sort through all of the lies !
Rene Rendard is as bad guy working for Marguerite but also working his own game. He's a contractor. There are plenty of bad guys to go around.
This was such an emotional story. with heat and LOTS of surprises. I fell in love with both Amina and Leon and towards the end cried real tears for them. And the ending with a great Epilogue made my tears even sweeter; totally satisfied.

My 5 Star Review TITLED: More than I was expecting !!
26 year old Cleo Camille Sullivan is totally disillusioned after one failure after another; especially with boyfriends. Her last one was Epically the Worst yet ! Enter Lucas Aiden Kincaid, 31 year old rock star in Scotland; a song writer singer who is also not a fan of romance. Even though he writes them and sings them. Their first meeting at the cottage is hilarious !!! So is may encounters after ! Boy that girl's temper is epic when riled which Lucas does may times ! And her cursing at him is hilariously funny as well as brilliantly creative ! So is there, "solution" to writers/composing blocks ! Hilarious and Hot !
I loved that Lucas calls her, "Hellcat" and "Squatter" many times in anger until it becomes their form of bantering back and forth affectionately. Unfortunately both of them are "runners" when cornered. But Cleo has friends that just won't let her sit and vegetate when she runs home early. That causes a hilarious interruption in her home which being kept occupied until her return by Carl. one of her friends people. Lucas has a person or two who just won't let him as they say, "Sit on his arse about Cleo". I also loved Lucas's tattoo "Still here: and the reason why it was there.
The goat and the cat were delicious additions that she was sitting for and the cat had a surprise of it's own. I loved the conversions that Cleo had with the goat and sometimes called hm, "Satan" in one form or another. The cat loved her but the goat not so much !
There are trigger warnings about this book, most probably about the many spicy scenes. But I adored Cleo, her clumsiness, she spunk and her attitude of "Mess with me and although I'm short, I'm gonna mess with you in your face !"
I loved the whole book! Especially how things get figured out ! I'm so glad that I got an ARC from this author !

I loved how everyone came together. Especially her friends "The Six!" I loved that phrase & the people in that group of Maren's life long supporters.

My 5 Star Review TITLED: He falls first; hard !
I absolutely adored this story. It opens with Emilia waiting for Jake at a huge function and it she is trying to hold everything together as Jake is late as usual. He's the main speaker and his carelessness is getting on her last nerve. Her brother Mason owns the hotel where the event is being held. It's amazing how many people in her family and his are connected in getting this foundation more funding ! I loved the individuality of each of the people on both sides. of the family. And how they all meet for dinner on Sunday at 6pm each week; no excuses. And had been doing it for years. It's a group that are LOUD chaotic, and fun when they all get together. I love that it was said that when they gather No One uses inside voices. That made me laugh !
It soon becomes clear that charming, make a room lean into him Jake is terrified when he finds out her has a 4 year old daughter, Poppy. About those inside voices? When shy Poppy gets more comfortable with Jake and Emilia, they soon find she doesn't have one either!! I loved her. She fit right in with the chaos realm. Lol.
This story was emotional, Hot and Perfect ! Although I loved the ending I didn't want it to end !

My 5 Star Review TITLED: Family, Threats & Attraction !
Adrian has been concerned about his cousin Teresa every since he heard that she had been missing for weeks. She HAD been kidnapped while he was on a job, out of country and out of contact. Now he's back and wants to see for himself if her now husband Vito Conti coerced her. Is she being help against her will? Plus she asked for his help specifically about a threat against the Conti family ! She's especially worried about Caterina. Beautiful, stubborn, intelligent Caterina ! Adrian is only partially okay with how things are going with his cousin but is furious when he finds out that Caterina has NOT been told about him coming to safe guard her.
Things do NOT go well at Adrian and Caterina''s first meeting. But he reuses to lie to her about the danger ! She's furious of course which he knows will make things harder but tells her so but he's great at his job and although he's being paid by her family, he won't be controlled by them. She is the client. I loved that !
Things get really dicey, with dangers ramping up. I loved all the kids in the family. Adrian didn't dislike kids but saw their vulnerabilities within the family. And they are a loud group of MANY people that gathered in one place giving him an actual headache. I could see that.
The heat can't help but get hotter between Cat and Adrian. Although he does try to fight it; knowing it could place her in more danger. By dividing his focus.
It was a cleverly written story with intense but interesting people that I enjoyed reading about. And the mystery of who and what the real threat was about kept me reading on. That threat about the killer cutting of the branches of the Conti family was chilling in it's delivery.

My 5 Star Rating TITLED: Worth every moment of reading
Martin Rhodes is reluctant to open that door when his ex-wife Angela now Fulton begs for his help. His best friend, Detective Tom Nolan is the only one that he has kept in touch with and it's' only so often that he reaches out to him. Now he's kind of sorry that he did. Nolan has agreed to pass Angela's message to Martin when he calls the next time. Martin has suffered so much in prison the last 10 years but at 6'4' tall and with a mean streak when he needs it, he survived. Martin is also smart and clever in his own way !He doesn't totally blame Angela for not hanging on for him although too late he sees he was never really there for her. Angela's husband Harold is a nice man; the total opposite of Martin. Martin knows that Harold will never survive prison if he doesn't help. Angela needs Harold and so do their 2 children.
Kevin Williams was the homeless man that got killed and just about everyone is convinced that Harold did it. This story was emotional without being sappy and after awhile I began to suspect someone who was the real killer. It was very satisfying to not only be right but the incredible twist on that person begin exposed. I never saw that coming and I loved that. Now I want to read more adventures of Martin Rhodes because now he has left that little town.
A missing baby. A buried secret. And an FBI cold case—definitely not what the Savannah Sleuths expected in retirement.

MY 5 STAR REVIEW TITLED: The Team does it again with a touch of romance

When I first started reading this book, it became clear that Xander was her ex-boyfriend. And Liam is her new great looking and wonderfully kind new boyfriend. Then things began to make me feel like I fell through a rabbit hole. Something like Alice in Wonderland. I was a bit confused at first but I just couldn't let go of this story. I just had to know what was going on ! As time went on things just kept getting weirder.
But the depth of this story, and the lies and cruelty that was involved made me gasp.
The end I never saw coming but the twist was so stunning that I'm glad I read it to the end.
I read this story through Netgalley and I'm so glad that I did !

There is quite the mysterious beginning. Right off the bat I wondered who is Marianne Hartwell? How does she figure in ? What's her game?
It seemed like there were plenty of shadowy, questionable other "players" in the game ! From the very beginning the story kept me guessing
I liked both Max and Ebony. They were sharp in their own ways and skills. They were precise and watching for all the angles. Sometimes they got it right and sometimes they didn't. There is no romance in the story but there is respect and attention to details and each other. But the story had great depth to it. All though, I have to admit that even though I enjoyed the story there were times that I didn't understand some of the details . The details that mainly Ebony was uncovering. But the ending? Really good.

____My 5 Star Review TITLED: They all are going to have to work together
Both main characters were unique and likeable. Even lovable in their strengths and how they work things out.
Colt Mercer is at his dock at 3 am, restless and concerned. Because something isn't right and he's trying to figure it out. Out of the dark a single car pulls into the end of his dock. Out comes a beautiful woman who is sharp and has the feeling of Fed all over her. It's Agent Sierra Cross. They take each others measure. I loved how Colt kept rolling that toothpick in his mouth as he grinned and strolled towards her. And they try to stuff down the attraction between them. There is serious damage being done, people being injured and killed. Sierra has a grudge in the match because a man, named Tomas was someone she swore to protect and then he was killed in a warehouse fire !! She demands the truth ! She then gets sent a threat via text! The same wording that Tomas got before he was murdered.
Colt Mercer has a group of dangerous, protective, skilled men who all have their different skills and businesses. I loved the variety of that team and that whatever Colt needed in his winery business they have his back. They are incensed when they all know that contaminated product has been moving through Colt's dock. And Colt is angry that he didn't catch it ! Colt is surprised that Sierra is steps way ahead of him on this.
The danger increases when someone tries to kill Agent Cross. Colt was already feeling protective of her and all his cold rage explodes in him when someone makes that first attempt.
I loved the teamwork, the tension the romance and the ending !

This is the best lost/hidden heir story that I've read in a long time ! Sean Donovan is NOT Irish by birth but had two loving parents who loved him beyond anything else ! But Sean's "father" has a dark secret that he's hidden for years. Sean is about to have shock after shock to deal with. And Nadia is WAY ahead of him ! They save each other even before either of them know the full game. But Nadia just CAN'T kill him ! There's just something about hm and she's going to figure it all out and it's going to be as fast as she can. She has sources but so does Sean. No one really realizes at first just who has been puling their strings. I loved strong, lethal Nadia and how the two of them got together. It looked like Nadia and Sean are an unlikely couple but they are not ! The two of the are the Best together.
The Mortetti family turns out to be a dangerous but also a lovely surprise.
Everything turned out better than anyone could have guessed. Great romance, great ending !

He doesn't succeed but that doesn't mean that he will stop trying. Ciara starts to have mixed feelings about Marco, even though she realizes he's not only handsome but truly dangerous. They don't trust each other and agree to just "look Married" but also go their own way after their forced honeymoon to Italy for a week. Yeah, I don't see things working out exactly as they planned ! I found them humorous in that determination.
But the story kept me going in the story because of their drama, her brother's continued drama on Ciara's behalf. And I thought that they could be happy with each other if they just let go of their resentments !
I enjoyed this story and was glad that Booksprout gave me the opportunity to read it !

--My 5 STAR Review TITLED: Vivid and Interesting
Teresa is a brilliant psychologist who is in demand by many. She was a prodigy from a very young age. So skilled that she graduated from school at age 14 and went on to even more skilled places of education ! Not only is she smart, but she has situational awareness and has some smart defense moves in place. Although, she feels like she's been having a prickling in the back of her neck for a while; like she's being watched. She just never catches anyone. Her spidey senses are tingling !! Even with all her precautions nothing prepares her for Vito ! He captures her easily !
Yep, Vito has been watching her for a long time. And Vito sure seems to have some major control issues. But does he really? He seemed pretty prepared to snatch Teresa. The struggle is definitely on between the two of them. Making me wonder if or how she would ever escape the island and Vito. Will she even want to, was my question until the end.
This story has a such beautiful, vivid, detailed "picture" of the island and the isolation. And inside this gorgeous mansion? Gorgeous ! The story kept me involved all the way.

---My 5 STAR Review Notes TITLED: Loved Kendall; hated her mother !
To begin with I loved the intriguing eBook cover.! Beautiful And eye-catching ! The story made me smile from the very beginning even when I realized it wasn't the real opening for the story !! Rosie her daughter was something else. Cute and at times wiser than her 4 years ! Their antics are hilarious ! I loved them both!
Rico is someone Kendall used to work with years ago but she still doesn't trust him totally. Charming, funny but also ruthless in getting what he wants. Kendall that but has no choice but to run to the safety that she now needs for her daughter and herself ! It surprising how many names that Kendall has burned through because she needed to under her mother Jenny's tutelage. Kendall never had a childhood because of all the training her mother put her through Spy in training of all things ! She's not having it for her daughter !!!
Kendall has a lot of people on her side BUT there are some hidden "assets " that don't care about Kendall or he daughter on bit. If they die they die. It got pretty intense ! Fini Meridian is her best friend from years ago and still is. A tech genius eager to go the extra mile for them !
Joel seemed to be a fun, younger agent that she was supposed to be helping train more but I wasn't so sure about him ! Hey, he was able to cook, adored Rosie and she adored him but something just felt off ! Great part of the mystery !
All Kendall wants is to raise her daughter and safely re-connect with her ex, Khalil ! I wanted that too. But everyone just keeps interfering !!! They are both heartbroken !It's plain he still loves her.
Some things get taken care of at the end but I still hated her manipulative mom and want to know where she's hiding Khalil and why ! She NEVER explains anything to Kendall and it's clear that she wants to keep her hooks in her to use her in the future.
Get ending and now I want more. Thank you Netgalley and L.M. Kemp for such a GREAT story !

5 STAR REVIEW TITLED: He didn't have to get involved but I'm glad that he did !
I love how this story was written ! Knox sees Daisy's father being brutal with her once again. She's scared after he he comes out drunk, yells and throws a chair threw their outside falling down fence. He blames her for not fixing it ! The nerve ! Knox finally comes out of his garage and calmly threatens him and quietly. The father doesn't take that well !! Now, Knox starts walking her to work and hanging around to protect her. But things start getting intense because she's being watched by someone with money and Know isn't putting up with that. Even though he has dangers of his own. I kept wondering how long Daisy's drunken father was going to stay because although people avoid him; someone else has threatened him to get to Daisy !
Suddenly after he takes Daisy to his minimalist home, a put together mystery woman shows up at this door. His security system pings, and he knows who she is. When Knox sees her he tells Daisy that the woman is Trouble ! It's his Ex.
Things get really even more interesting from there and Intense. I could hardly wait to see how things were going to end. I was already loving Knox and Daisy together already !

My 4 Star Review TITLED: A really dangerous family
Una has been hung up on Shane for years. She hates living with her mother who insists she dress up like a fancy businesswoman . Una hates it and she hates being kept inside to learn and do accounting. She's a wild, outdoors young woman. Every time she's forced into someone else's mold with Michael and his family, she gets drunk and goes wild ! The only thing that made her happy was when Shane got her a horse, who she ended up loving. Things go hot and cold between Shane and Una until they don't! Una has quite the redheaded mouth and temper ! It was actually fun to watch. Shane was a dangerous man who was totally in love with Una and was just trying to protect her ! Mary is the housekeeper at the
house who loves Una but there's not much she can do. She doesn't like
Liam and is afraid of him because he could end her !
Liam is the next in line to take over from their father Michael and he's scary ! Darragh is actually the worst of the lot. He gets drunk, takes drugs and when he gets Una involved? Things are about to get messy ! And they do ! I do have to say that I liked Una and Shane together. They kept things interesting !
He was my biggest mistake. Now he's the only thing I want to repeat.

My 4 Star Review TITLED: The Attraction & Danger is still there
Evil has been circling Moonrise for years . And people are watching. And it not only been the bad guys. Dalton has a few men that he trusts that have been watching things happening across their property for awhile and don't tell Dalton. At least not at first. Elena Valentina Cruz is someone that he father had always called his intelligence analyst. She'd seen noticed and called out wrongs from a very young age. And she was always proven right ! General Harlan Moss is identified early on as, the Highest Level evil running things. Now Elena is back home visiting her ill father and checking out why it looks like her father is also in the wrong. I loved how it was called her, "Father Wound." She couldn't confront him or his files right away because it could hasten his death. And she loves him. She's still wildly attracted to Rafe Dalton, who she's known for years. She's fighting that when she comes home. But so is Rafe who now has built his own security team, called Dalton Security. And they are good. They will have to be to outwit that General who shut the door on Dalton when he refused an order while in the military and was basically erased ! Now Dalton is saying, "Not in my town General!" I loved how closely these men and the good families of Moonrise worked so hard to take care of their community. It was a tense drama that kept me wondering how in the world things could ever work out for all of them. How is it going to work out for Elena's dad? And what about Elena and Dalton? I ached for them to be able to get together and stay together.
