--My 5 Star Review TITLED: A Rebellious Woman & A Vengeful Man

 

Forty year old Marco  Amato is determined to form an alliance with the Irish Mob. He's and Italian mob man who was almost killed.  He was shot by the very hit man that he hired  and was left for dead. He's healed now about his hand is still messed up.  Now he is determined to marry Patrick Sullivan's daughter to form a powerful alliance against his very own mob family.  He doesn't want to marry a spoiled child but he was the power that the union will bring.   Ciara wants no part of this arranged marriage and wants out even if her brother Cormac has to kill Marco.  Which her brother is VERY willing to do even though it goes against what his father wants done ! 

Enzo Bianchi has taken over the Italian mob when everyone thought Marco was dead. He now  has aligned himself with the Russian Bratva. And Marco wants Enzo and the hit-man, Will Taylor dead. 

Ciara is a spoiled, entitled young woman who is 20 years younger than Marco.  And she is all in when it comes to Cormac killing her intended groom, Marco. He doesn't succeed but that doesn't mean that he will stop trying. Ciara starts to have mixed feelings about Marco, even though she realizes he's not only handsome but truly dangerous.  They don't trust each other and agree to just "look Married" but also go their own way after their forced honeymoon to Italy for a week. Yeah, I don't see things working out exactly as they planned ! I found them humorous in that determination.

But the story kept me going in the story because of their drama, her brother's continued drama on Ciara's behalf.    And I thought that they could be happy with each other if they just let go of their resentments !

I enjoyed this story and was glad that Booksprout gave me the opportunity to read it !

--My 5 STAR Review TITLED:  Vivid and Interesting

 Teresa is a brilliant psychologist who is in demand by many.  She was a prodigy from  a very young age. So skilled that she graduated from school at age 14 and went on to even more skilled places of education ! Not only is she smart, but she has situational awareness and has some smart defense moves in place. Although, she feels like she's been having a prickling in the back of her neck for a while; like she's being watched.  She just never catches anyone.  Her spidey senses are tingling !! Even with all her precautions nothing prepares her for Vito ! He captures her easily !

Yep,  Vito has been watching her for a long time. And Vito sure seems to have some major control issues. But does he really?  He seemed pretty prepared to snatch Teresa.   The struggle is definitely on between the two of them. Making me wonder if or how she would ever escape the island and Vito. Will she even want to, was my question until the end. 

This story has a such beautiful, vivid, detailed "picture" of the island and the isolation. And inside this gorgeous mansion? Gorgeous ! The story kept me involved all the way.

---My 5 STAR  Review Notes TITLED: Loved Kendall; hated her mother !

To begin with I loved the intriguing eBook cover.! Beautiful And eye-catching ! The story made me smile from the very beginning even when I realized it wasn't the real opening for the story !! Rosie her daughter was something else. Cute and at times wiser than her 4 years ! Their antics are hilarious ! I loved them both!

Rico is someone Kendall used to work with years ago but she still doesn't trust him totally. Charming, funny but also ruthless in getting what he wants. Kendall that but has no choice but to run to the safety that she now needs for her daughter and herself ! It surprising how many names that Kendall has burned through because she needed to under her mother Jenny's tutelage.  Kendall never had a childhood because of all the training her mother put her through Spy in training of all things ! She's not having it for her daughter !!! 

Kendall has a lot of people on her side BUT there are some hidden "assets " that don't care about Kendall or he daughter on bit. If they die they die.  It got pretty intense ! Fini Meridian is her best friend from years ago and still is. A tech genius eager to go the extra mile for them !

Joel seemed to be a fun, younger agent that she was supposed to be helping train more but I wasn't so sure about him !  Hey, he was able to cook, adored Rosie and she adored him but something just felt off ! Great part of the mystery !

All Kendall wants is to raise her daughter and safely re-connect with her ex, Khalil ! I wanted that too. But everyone just keeps interfering !!!  They are both heartbroken !It's plain he still loves her.  

Some things get taken care of at the end but I still hated her manipulative mom and want to know where she's hiding Khalil and why ! She NEVER explains anything to Kendall and  it's clear that she wants to keep her hooks in her to use her in the future. 

 Get ending and now I want more. Thank you Netgalley and L.M. Kemp for such a GREAT story !

 5 STAR REVIEW TITLED: He didn't have to get involved but I'm glad that he did !

 I love how this story was written ! Knox sees Daisy's father being brutal with her once again. She's scared after he he comes out drunk, yells and throws a chair threw their outside falling down fence. He blames her for not fixing it ! The nerve ! Knox finally comes out of his garage and calmly threatens him and quietly. The father doesn't take that well !! Now, Knox starts walking her to work and hanging around to protect her. But things start getting intense because she's being watched by someone with money and Know isn't putting up with that. Even though he has dangers of his own.  I kept wondering how long Daisy's drunken father was going to stay because although people avoid him; someone else has threatened him to get to Daisy !

Suddenly after he takes Daisy to his minimalist home, a put together mystery woman shows up at this door. His security system pings, and he knows who she is. When Knox sees her he tells Daisy that the woman is Trouble ! It's his Ex.

Things get really even more interesting from there and Intense.  I could hardly wait to see how things were going to end. I was already loving Knox and Daisy together already !
