This story draws you in pretty quickly. I really liked both of the MC's, they were gutsy, smart, lovable and persistent. You could also see the hurts that they had dealt with in their life up to this point. It was written in such a way that it was pretty easy to relate to. This book gets a really good mystery going. With a fair amount of players, all with their own agendas. Sleazy, murderous and greedy ones, that make the story even better without getting confusing.
I was so into the story. I actually got mad at Mara when she told her sister something she promised Cort she wouldn't. I called her an Idiot !!!! and shut my Kindle and tossed it down. Geez, it was for their own safety! What didn't she get about that? Ok, I finally calmed down and forgave her long enough to go back to the story. Because honestly I couldn't stay away; I just needed to know what happened next. I enjoyed every minute of this book; well except for my meltdown at that one point. Lots of twists and turns and at the end I was very satisfied with the final outcome.
I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
