BOOK REVIEW- THE SIN FACTOR
Part of the story is of industrial espionage..... with Jeffrey Sinclair being the one whose Company has been stolen from. He hasn't dragged himself up out of the gutter to make something of himself in order for someone to boldy steal his new prototypes . The military has contracted for them and is looking for them, if they can be trusted. Avery, is the widow of the military man who was one of the last ones to have the prototypes. There are a lot of mysteries and maybe even romance going on. But who can you trust?
Sin, as Sinclair is nicknamed, has friends from a tough neigborhood that they grew up in. They are now successful but if things don't come together with this sale to the government, it threatens everything they have financially. I like the fact that Sinclair and his friends were constantly being underestimated when it came to their toughness, unity and ingenuity. Their friendship and unity through it all was something that I really enjoyed reading. Also Scotty and his supposedly insane James Bond like inventions were a hoot.
This story even had a slightly different edge to it with the added element of the military investigating and most of the time not being much help. Then there are extra men added, and it makes you wonder what their motives are as well.
Now for the romance, Avery and Sin are attracted to each other big time, and their resistance to the idea at times is almost as strong. Betrayals from someone who should have loved them is something they both have in common and makes for a sometimes bumpy ride. Although I liked this book, it had a few spots where it kind of bogged down. I think it was when Avery got caught in her angst about her marriage. When I said there was romance, Sin & Avery was one thing, but when I read about how harshly Des and Terry spoke to each other; I thought "hmmm, there's a story there too".
"I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review."
