BOOK REVIEW- KILLING SECRETS
Deadly secrets and danger surround Rachel James and her daughter Amanda. Running from her ex-husband, Rachel is always looking over her shoulder, never staying anywhere too long. Her ex is in prison but that doesn't mean they are safe.
Patrick Thorne is a neighbor, a son of the people currently helping her hide. He is a construction company owner, being hounded by someone trying to destroy his business. He is wounded by secrets of his own and neither Rachel or Patrick are eager to be involved with anyone any time soon. It just makes it so tough for them because, what are they going to do about that attraction to each other? It's just one more thing to run away from.
I found that I liked this book, even though some of it had some dark parts to it. A serial killer is a portion of the story and I'm sure not everyone is going to enjoy that. But I believe it was well written, and that wasn't the only evil going on. It seemed that the author was juggling several plates in the air at the same time and was doing a really good job of it. There was a really good supporting cast of characters that were really enjoyable as well; lots of drama. The Thorne family was one that you knew you were going to want to read more about. In this story Patrick's brother, police Detective Jack was involved in a lot of the plot, while his mother, father and other brothers also showed up to help. Before anyone gets the wrong idea that its all about the family and a "sweet" romance (and murder); while it may have its moments of sweet, it also has several sex scenes also. I know some people want to know that when choosing a book.
I WAS GIVEN A FREE COPY OF THIS BOOK IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.
