At seven years old, my father arranged my marriage to his greatest enemy. At twenty-two, I walked into the monster's house and forgot which side I was on.

I arrived with a mission and a hidden phone — steal his secrets and deliver them to my father like the weapon I'd been raised to be.

Then my new husband blindfolded me on our wedding night. And nothing that followed was what I expected.

Anton Morikov was the cold, calculating bratva accountant who ran an empire on spreadsheets and silence. He called me ptichka — little bird — like I was something to cage.

Piece by piece, the cold cracked. He held my hand in the dark when he didn't have to. Told me truths that cost him everything. Looked at me like I'd been his long before the contract made it official.

And I had been. I just didn't know how long.

He was my first. And I will be his last.

Now my father wants his weapon back — and the little bird has just learned to bite.

Nadya's father, Ivan Sokolov spent YEARS training her for her mission of vengeance.  He was one COLD man and I didn't trust him.  Nadya did. She was ready for making him and his family pay for killing here mother. That's why she agreed to sign what they called the "Blood Pact." They are forced to marry because of the contract years ago and the Council demands it be fulfilled to make peace between the families.
Anton Morikov, hates her and blames her father for the death of HIS mother.  The whole family does. So they don't make it easy for her when she enters the enemies camp.  It's going to be a cold marriage.  Maybe.
Things don't exactly go as planned for anyone but that's okay because I liked Nadya and Anton together as the story unfolds. Turns out Anton has been getting a picture of Nadya every year ever since he was sixteen or seventeen.  He's fighting HARD against the pull he feels for her.
Suspense, romance,  fighting against the enemies was done so well, ending with great with a great HEA.
