BOOK REVIEW:CHILD OF MINE

Authors David & Beverly Lewis co-written fiction novel about Jack Livingston raising his ophaned adopted niece, Natalie.  Added in is "Nattie's" Amish  nanny, Laura Mast who has loved and helped raise her since she was a baby.  Also add Kelly Maines, who has been searching for her stolen baby for eight years.  Get ready; all of these lives are about to collide and nothing will ever be the same again.

What a well written, multi-layered story!   I really enjoyed it and about the time I thought things were beginning to be easy to guess what would happen next, "wham, a new twist, a new surprise revelation showed up."  I like that, it was so well written that you didn't find it to hard to follow the different people and stories that began to unfold.  That takes talent, skill and warmth.   I had looked at other books that were written by Beverly Lewis but this is the first book I have read by her.  I guess I was afraid it would be "too Amish".  Wrong!   It was just right and a delight; I'm glad that this couple worked together on this work.

I received a free copy of this novel from Bethany House Publishers as part of their book review program through Baker Publishing Group, and I am under no obligation to write a positive review.
