Satan Stole the Revelation God Gave Me

Satan Stole the Revelation God Gave Me

The following is a testimony of how satan stole the revelation of "how to hear God's voice" from Greg Bachnik.
I learned to hear God’s voice online but didn’t have much experience when you (Mark Virkler) visited my church back in the late 90’s and taught your course on two-way journaling.  It was absolutely amazing.  In fact our church became on fire with our conversations with God.  We were in the midst of the revival that Toronto spawned and they were such wonderful times.
But for whatever reason our pastor became upset with what was going on and spoke against our two-way conversations, saying something like, “If God is just saying good stuff, if there is no conviction against sin in your conversation, it is not God.” In other words, he was sin focused and expected God to be as well.

My Experience with God Was Stolen

That comment turned off my two-way conversations wtih God for a long time.  Occasionally I would journal but in the back of my mind the seeds of doubt had been sown.
Then this January I took a trip to New Zealand where I met Mark Holloway.  It was just one of those chance encounters.  I rented a motorcycle to tour the islands, Mark is a biker, we hit it off and he helped my journey immeasurably.  I knew he had written a book but I wasn’t much interested until he asked if he could send me his blog excerpts. They are his current conversations with God.
I said yes and immediately I was struck with the supernatural quality of his conversation.  Almost immediately his conversation spurred me to re-initiate my own and it has been amazing ever since.
I am a missionary in Asia with Iris Missions.  I forwarded Mark's blog to my students and the same thing happened with them.  They began their conversations with God. My conversations with God are changing the way we do discipleship. Discipleship is a subject keen to the heart of any missionary.
Previously I taught hearing God’s voice but for the purpose of prophesying and at the end of the process. Now I am beginning to teach hearing God’s voice for the purpose of conversation, intimacy and it's the first thing we teach. Of course we still teach the Bible but we teach them to have listening hearts as they read Scriptures.
I am helping get “The Freedom Diaries” translated into the language because I believe God wants to use this book to transform His church into a body of believers alive with current, relevant, revelation of the Heart of God through one on one conversation with Him.
Blessings,
Greg Bachnik

Jealously Guarding and Protecting the Revelation God Gives

Bill Johnson says in his book, Hosting the Presence, "God will give us the measure of His presence that we are willing to jealously guard" (pg. 191).
Jesus said it this way, "When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart... the seed was sown on the rocky places... this is the man who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no firm root in himself, but is only temporary, and when affliction or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he falls away" (Matt. 13:19-21 NASB).

Action - Focus for Three Months and GET It!

Get God's Word firmly engrafted into your heart in whatever area God is asking you to master. I highly recommend a minimum of three months of focused, intentional effort (James 1:25). That is what I do and that is why we set up all our training as three month experiences, which you can do alone or, if possible, in a group or under a coach.

The Promise of Jesus, and the Caution of Jesus

For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance (Matt. 13:12).
Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe to stumble, it would be better for him if, with a heavy millstone hung around his neck, he had been cast into the sea (Mk. 9:42).
