Book Review: Gunpowder Tea

Annie Beckman is not who she appears to be.  She is something usual in her day and time.  Miranda Hunt is her real name and she's Pinkerton agent sent on assignment , answering an ad for a heiress to the Last Chance Ranch.  That is a heiress in training.  Her agency thinks that everything points to the notorious train robber hiding on the sprawling ranch.   They aren't the only ones after "The Phantom," there's also a Wells Fargo agent (Jeremy Taggert) who is also being assigned to the ranch to find him too.   Oh boy, there's going to be fireworks when they find out about each other and its not just about the profession competition.

I liked this book, it was a refreshing read.   It probably wouldn't be one of my all time favorite but it was enjoyable. Book of the heroes were suspicious of each other while drawn to each other at the same time.  I enjoyed that many of the pople in the book were written with bigger than life personalities.  A Western who-dun-it.
