Notice there are two calls in life, one to salvation and the other to our unique place of service and assignment. All people are called: you, me, the saved and unsaved. Jesus in His final hours prayed as follows: 

"Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent." (John 17:13)

Notice the first calling is to know God, to know Jesus Christ and the result is to EXPERIENCE ETERNAL LIFE." I capitalize eternal life because we need to see that this is an actual substance that was within Jesus. "In Him was LIFE." He carried the serum of a new Life force in His spirit. It was like mankind had ebola and Jesus carried the serum. Eternal Life was in Him. Death was in us. His shed blood became the delivery system for removing the curse of death and injecting us with His quality of life. What made His "life" different?

The Greek word translated "life" here is ZOE, and it means "life in the absolute sense, life as God has it" (Vine's Expository Dictionary). This is the God quality of life. Human beings have biological life.... Everyone who is breathing has life in the sense of physical existence, but only those who receive Jesus can experience life as God intended it to be, the God quality of life - ZOA LIFE! Jesus came not only to save people from the torment of eternal hell but also to give them this ZOE life, or God-kind of life, in abundance. The life of God is not awaiting people in heaven but is the present possession of all born-again believers in their spirits (Joh 5:24 and 1Jo 3:14). Believers can release this ZOE life and enjoy it now by losing their natural lives (Mt 16:24-25, Mr 8:34-37, and Lu 9:23-25) and finding this supernatural life. The way believers lose their lives is to deny any thoughts, emotions, or actions that are contrary to the Word of God, which is life (ZOE in Joh 6:63). When they line their thoughts, emotions, and actions up with the instructions of God's Word, then they'll find this ZOE life manifest in their bodies and souls as well.

Line up with ZOA LIFE and you enter the second call- the call to your destiny.

1.The first call of God is to salvation. To receive the gift of eternal life. It gets you to heaven
2. The second calling is to walk in that new LIFE on earth and answer live out the specific call upon your life. 
3. The first calling gets you "saved" but... 
4. the second calling leads you to your "PURPOSE."5. You get into heaven by responding to the first call. 
6. You receive your rewards for eternity based on how accurately you worked out your purpose after you are born again.

The first calling gets you into the family, the second introduces you to your place in the family business.

There is a connection between the first call and the second in other ways.

As said, your born again spirit is quickened by the ZOE life of God. This life penetrates the your recreated spirit. With the new birth we have the equipment to be like Him. Peter said " we are partakers of the divine nature." I think he was talking about this ZOE LIFE force.

The Bible says this ZOE quality of Gods own "life is the light of men." It is an illuminating force. It is working in you from the moment you are born again and its mission is to help you discover your God given talents and supernatural calling.

ZOE LIFE is connected to:
Your PASSION - which tells you something about your calling.
Your GIFTING - which tells you something about your role.
Your sacred IMPRESSIONS from reading the Bible or prayer or Prophecy when ZOE life was illuminating your understanding.

The more you yield to the calling the more unique the ZOE life will shape you to be.

YOU can only be you. Its time to get free and get clear so you can be more YOUER than you've ever been!
