A Fun, Out There Story
On Amazon I gave it 5 Stars..
it was funny, unique and totally out there in a good sci-fi way. I loved Hailey, Alex and even snarky, self-important Sebastian. Hailey was snarky and funny all on her own; she made me laugh more than once. She cared about other people, but she also knew how to take care of things too when she needed to. Hailey had a few language malfunction, (swearing). After all, she said she knew how to swear in 8 different languages. I really liked how she described herself as odd and that included her job. I enjoyed the adventure and just thought it was fun. I just flat out liked Hailey as a main character in the book.
P.S. just a few additional thoughts here..Hailey's mom I ususally wouldn't have liked the fact that once again a Christian woman is being seen as a joke or unpleasant. But in this story I could see where the author was able to work off of it in a few instances and it wasn't the main theme. Book 2 is coming and Book 1 had a really good lead in into it. Not sure that I really consider it a typical cliffhanger because of the story having things wrapped up at the end. To me, it was another adventure to take if you are so inclined.
Oh..and my kindle? I have to say as I was reading this story, my kindle all of a sudden didn't look quite so innocent. *smiling*
