Prayer is sometimes confused.
There is a prayer time with our Lord, in which we spend time talking to Him, listening to Him, worshiping Him, petitioning Him.
But much of the time that we spend petitioning Him is time that we should be spending in spiritual combat----binding, loosing, casting out, and calling things into being.
Instead of petitioning Him for things that He has already given to us in His promises, we should spend our prayer time petitioning God for wisdom to know what Words to speak forth in our warfare.
