What a great, small sized, easy to carry around book. It would also make a great gift. Something that I am going to keep in mind. I wish I had something like this when I first received Jesus. It might even been a good one to have before as well. It really comes with some great questions, answers with a Bible scripture that can start you off on your own study. Simple and easy to follow. Well set up with different sections, like Questions and Answers about Jesus, Salvation, Prayer. The ribbon bookmark is also a nice touch as well.

So darn cute!
For almost five years, Alex has had one obsession. Her name is Elynn.
Alex Hanas couldn't believe that after so many years as a widower, his father was getting remarried. To make matters worse, the American gold digger had a kid—a daughter named Elynn. After months of avoiding it, Alex goes to brunch with every intention of giving his father's new family the deep freeze. But he can't pull it off with Elynn's anxious green-grey eyes locked on him.
That was the day his life changed.
Four years later, Alex is as close to Elynn as a stepbrother can be. But that's not enough for him. He wants more...and he's done waiting. AMAZON
Good plot, really good characters. And also several interesting people as well. They are kind of seen less because the story is mainly about Elynn and Alex. But they do add to the story when the secondary characters show up. And of course you know the villain of the piece will show up again in the story, you just aren't sure when. And yes as the blurb tells you there will be sex but its going to be awhile there are some things Elynn has to work through. Things that Elynn has to work through because of the before mentioned villain. But the years of trust that Alex builds with Elynn make the story really interesting. Yes, he is a bossy, alpha personality, driven businessman who went through model type women in the past but he was tender, kind and protective towards her.
I liked that Elynn was funny, smart and kind but she was also astute about some people. As she got to really know Alex she had a pretty good understanding of his personality. That's not to say that he couldn't surprise her as his feelings became clearer. Alex was somewhat predictable as a possessive man but the story also showed him having some charming interactions with Elynn as well. It was funny what triggered his panic to get Elynn in a different light. I LOVED it when Elynn went toe to toe with a past girlfriend, when she showed up uninvited. Part of my enjoyment was that she didn't believe the lies the woman was selling, which would have been easy enough to do. That was a refreshing change, because in a lot of stories the woman believes it and runs. I also liked the spunk she showed with Alex when she made it clear, that he would NOT be cheating on her.
Great twist at the end of the story and I appreciate the story having a good Epilogue.

When I pulled this book out of the wrapper, I was struck by how much nicer the cover was than the picture on Amazon showed it to be. I guess its one of those things that can be hard to capture in just a picture. The pages were also thicker and had a good feel to them.
Here are some other thoughts as it was put to use:
i still say think it should have a built in bookmark. Because it is not set up to be done from front to back and you could end up skipping around doing different pages. You could take days doing one picture because it's so detailed. Or just because can tend to get interrupted, it would be nice to be able to mark where you left off.
i wish they wouldn't have partially colored some of the pages themselves. I would have preferred to color them myself in full.
Although maybe I can see why they partially colored the pages. It hink it would have been too boring just black and white inside. The coloring they did was maybe inspiration for the user to continue coloring
I like the size of the book overall though. portable, purse size.
One thing to note, pages are not as super thick as I thought at first.
So markers and maybe even some inky pens could bleed through, both of my pages bled through.
I tend to color using all the different media, crayons (which was too thick an option for these detailed pages), markers, gel pens and colored pencils. Colored pencils were the best option for this book as it doesn't bleed and could get into the tiny areas.
I wasn't sure at first about the binding. If it would stay flat while I colored a picture, but it did great. I was especially glad that it didn't flip shut while I used Gel pens because they can smear.
As far as content. I liked the journal part of the book because it was assorted. It wasn't just one type of entry. Some were prompts for lists or it asked you to draw something. Others were scripture and devotion like with an area for you to free write after.
One thing that's a plus is that i haven't seen this kind of journal/coloring combo.
Maybe they are out there but usually you only see a coloring book or a journal.
Iwould say its more than just ok any issues were more about personal preference. So having a book mark, the partially colored pages are the only things that caught my attention.
Just slightly thicker pages would have been better. not everyone wants to use colored pencils.
So I'm giving it 4.5 Stars on Amazon, because its almost perfect.
