--------------my 5 star Review TITLED:  Secrets Explode

Sloan Carrington is on the run from her brother, Rhett. He plans on taking her 4 year old son, Noah ! Whatever it takes !!!  She's been on the run for 4 years but he's caching up.  I love Dee, who points her to Moonrise and the man Knox Wilder.  Her one night stand that she never forgot and who fathered her son Noah. 

Noah hasn't known a father and Knox didn't know about his son, until it all hit the fan !Understandably he's angry because hes missed 4 years of his son's life ! More trouble follows but so do the men that will burn down everything in order to help Knox, Noah and Sloan.

Such an emotional story that pulled me in HARD. I loved it !!!   I sure hope that there will be more in the series of these brave, got your back men.."brothers" I enjoyed it all even with the occasional tears.   There were plenty of smiles too ! And Noah? Ah, Noah such a great little guy !

 my 4 star review- titled:  Rules, Boundaries & Cautious Alliances 

I really liked that Emmy was a STRONG, but exhausted woman. Protective of her 6 year old son Noah and trying to protect her son for her ex's manipulations !  Martin Hales is he enemy from Adrian DeLuca's side and of course HER ex is the other !!  So sad, that custody is one of the things weaponized against her. And they are relentless! The pressures were coming from all sides and Adrian was sincerely trying to help but Emmy's also teaching HIM to let go of his control of her situations. He's trying but he does fail a few times. Emmy wants him to stand WITH her not in  front trying to fix things ! Dom works with him as much as Adrian will allow but knows when to back off too ! The enemies start lining up confident that they are about to win ! Problem after problem designed to make them cave in ! Not going to happen but it is tough for quite a while !

Things get really intense before the ending that made me smile.

--- my 5 STAR review notes TITLED: It all started with a fall

 Rose and Henry were two lonely, quiet people afraid to hope for love. I loved them both although people in Society felt that they were out of sync with society's expectations. It was so emotional and so unfair ! Lady Marchmont was the loudest voice of disapproval making sure that Rose and the room could hear her slander and cruel words.  Her sponsor, Lady Whitmore was the exact opposite. She wanted shy Rose to excel and gave her every encouragement and caution when needed ! Few people supported Rose and Henry's decisions but there were a few.

Henry's dead father was often a voice in his head, demanding that he protect the legacy to be proper. To make cold choices.  He would be appalled by Henry's desire for a marriage of love. After all, he was The Spare; all that was left. That was so cruel. He suffered a lot. 

I loved how everything worked out and her mother and sister appeared towards the end of the story and they were so happy for her.  The Epilogue was well deserved !

my 5 Star Review Titled : Hatred, Lies & Resolutions !

 

Nadya's father, Ivan Sokolov spent YEARS training her for her mission of vengeance.  He was one COLD man and I didn't trust him.  Nadya did. She was ready for making him and his family pay for killing here mother. That's why she agreed to sign what they called the "Blood Pact." They are forced to marry because of the contract years ago and the Council demands it be fulfilled to make peace between the families. 

 Anton Morikov, hates her and blames her father for the death of HIS mother.  The whole family does. So they don't make it easy for her when she enters the enemies camp.  It's going to be a cold marriage.  Maybe. 

Things don't exactly go as planned for anyone but that's okay because I liked Nadya and Anton together as the story unfolds. Turns out Anton has been getting a picture of Nadya every year ever since he was sixteen or seventeen.  He's fighting HARD against the pull he feels for her. 

Suspense, romance,  fighting against the enemies was done so well, ending with great with a great HEA.

---------------- my 5 Star review TITLED: There's so much more to Cross

 

 First off, I loved the eBook cover and the unusual plot just drew me in and so did the story itself !

Roxanne Wells is a trip and a half !!! And it made me wonder right off the bat if she was a redhead. That girl was full of fire, fierce ! And I loved her a lot   Wow, she got right up in the face of Cross Strinati without flinching ! She was hilarious fire !!! Cross thinks he's made a clever trap. He's been watching her for a year and protecting her too ! He can't understand why, but he takes risks doing it anyway ! She doesn't rally know all the risks he's been in since doing that.  Another powerful mafia guy,  Filippo wants her gone..yesterday !

Aleksei, is the right hand man for Cross and he puts up with a lot from Roxanne. I liked him a lot. Roxanne finally is able to get in contact with her fellow newsman, Dean and I liked him a lot too. I was so hoping nothing bad happened to either of them ! 

Roxanne takes some unnecessary risks though.  

Cross cared deeper for Roxanne than she ever knew and they had a moment when her walls came down. And she saw the pain in him and he was so tender with her. I loved that for them even though now there were both a bit afraid of their emotions for each other.  

 The suspense and the romance kept me locked into the story while I waited, not so patiently for their HEA.

My 5 Star Review TITLED: Charming, Scary Mystery

Gabriel & Harper are charming together.  I adored the both of them and Harper's unique, charmed "pet family".  Especially Luna, the rabbit who at first I thought might be a cat. And the sweet, tiny dragon Ignatius !!! Luna is spunky and sassy.  Ignatius loves pastries, sleep and curling around Harper's neck.  Harper's place of business, Spellbooks  in Havenwood, is charming and unique with all it's magic in the store. I liked on "they" named themselves the " Team Radish Bacon" !! Gabriel was so supportive and protective of Harper. He still let her do her thing ! He even said that Luna and Ignatius were family ! Gabriel could also be hilariously funny too !

There were plenty of suspects with some unexpected twists.   Great ending. I loved this book and look forward to reading more of their adventure ! This was my first book that I've read in this series of intense mystery, magic and sweet romance.

---not included in review was that Vivienne is Gabriel's upscale mom who kinda scares Harper but pulls her into the whole spy undercover thing !  She has confidence in Harper.  I Loved that Gabe called Harper, "amaryn" even though I'm not sure what it means; sounds like something affectionate !

----My 4 Star Review Notes TITLED: I liked it with a reservation

 Great main characters and I do say that I did have an initial reservation because of how they met. I went ahead and read it.  I could have done with a bit less of the sexual acts but the book did warn that it was explicit. When away from those scenes the book was REALLY good, emotional and even tender at times. Nico began to really open up to Erica. I really liked when she got to meet the "scary" family ! They were really quite the group ! Also thought that the listing of the family members and how they related to Nico was a nice and necessary touch !

The ending was great and everything that I could have hoped for !

--My 5 Star Review TITLED: Silent "Torture" 

I was intrigued by the unusual plot information.  And the book didn't disappoint ! Dante has been "stalking" Ana Moretti through surveillance photos and information for 3 weeks.  His future wife.  He's totally obsessed.  Ana has no idea ! She's Judge Whitmore's daughter. A dangerous woman to want and take. More than he even knew.  But he's figuring it out ! He knows she blames him and he's been monitoring her even before he takes her ! 

Dante has a brother named Luca, a very lethal brother. He seemed VERY Cagey ! He is creepy and dangerous.  And now he has his eyes on Ana. Look out, girl !

I really liked Ana, and how clever she was. She was also lethal too.   She'd been being trained for years by others to assassinate Dante.  And boy, was she willing ! The dual points of view were awesome and kept me totally into the story.  As promised, the story was intense and I really enjoyed them getting their HEA.

 I enjoyed this story tremendously !  Becca was such a focused woman who worked hard and never got much credit for her work.  She deserved so much better !  Well, Until...Chaos !  What a great name for this dog she rescued and his unique personality ! Chaos was a hoot and very demanding of his "pack" something Becca didn't understand at first !
Liam was such a caring, calm fun man who was so successful at his vet practice . He had a unique way of interacting with animals. Just what Becca needed !  Her temporary supervisor, Naomi  liked her organizational skills when Becca showed up there.  Naomi was an enjoyable character too !
Becca has "daddy issues" since her father abandoned her and married another and started a new family ! That's going to cause some problems ! Liam is afraid of being left behind. You get the idea. 
I liked the sweet ending and look forward to more by this author !

My 5 star Review TITLED: Fight or Die Romance

 

The  story opens with 28 year old, Briar Vale attending her Aunt Rebecca's Memorial Gala.  They were incredibly close. She soon figures that she's the ONLY true mourner there in this glitzy affair. Her aunt has been dead for 3 weeks and Vale Industries was her baby.  A multi-billion business now in the hands of her Uncle Charles; Rebecca's husband. A man that needs to be seriously watched in my humble opinion.  She overhears part of a conversation between her uncle and another man. Sounds like they want her "removed" permanently ! She runs and almost dies.  Gabriel shows up and saves her. He introduces himself as Gabriel Monet (a Frenchman). 

I loved the dual points of view in this story and the ruthless chase as they fight to keep her alive.  The romance is delayed but sweet none the less.  Henri at the chateau was an excellent addition.  The emotional parts of the story were well played out and believable. 

The ending was really satisfying as was their ways to solve some of their problems.

--MY 5 STAR REVIEW TITLED:  Wow. Just Wow !

I didn't see this one coming. And I loved it. Yes, it was shorter but it pulled me right in. Mara gets attacked right at the start of the story. This land dweller is kind of scary and overcomes her pretty quickly. She's been training since she was 12years old. Intense training ! Her Helix symbol on her suit gives her away immediately but it doesn't help her with him. The man with no name (yet) knows her moves though and she becomes intrigued with him.  So did I and with the other woman who was also UN-named of yet. 

Surprise ending..for Now. Ends up I want to read more about these stories. How does everything end? I want to know !

----My 5 Star review- I liked it even though it's only a HEA for now

Marchello Accetti is the main character and has a brother named Milo.  Their father is in hiding trying to help save him It's not been going very well in that respect. Lissa is Gian Gallanti's daughter.  She's a NYC graduate and Danny Collins is her father's new, closest associate.  She thinks he has his eyes on her and finds him creepy. So did I. Her father seems to just keep pushing them together and she HATES it.   She's kinda silly and clueless and also spoiled, I didn't like her very much in the beginning! I was shaking my head more than once thinking, "How could she be SO stupid?"  Sweet Ricardo is supposed to be watching her because he's sweet and won't be rough with her like some of the men that surround Matchello and his teams.  That's gonna work, right? I could trouble coming a mile away on that score and it does !! She ends up just "stepping away", gets Ricardo in trouble and has everyone tearing their hair out trying to find her. She deserves everything spanking she's going to get when they finally find her !

Everything comes together at the end for a HEA for now ending.  Collins does get away alive,  to continue to cause trouble where he can !  To me this is a mild cliffhanger and the story continues in "Vicious Vows."

---------------4 STARS Review: Titled: Good but the pace is slower

Death came quickly for Luciano Rossi's father, Salvatore-  in a betrayal death. Luciano quickly became known as El Fantasma "The Ghost" !  The scene moves to Present Day and Luciano is now 25 years old and his cousin and protector Enzo stands with him..always ! No matter what even when he warns he against Fausta Fratelli and their attraction. But Enzo knows to say it and then shut up ! He knows that Luciano is also a strategist, calm and patient.  And warns that he could get them all killed.  Lucano doesn't care, he still wants her. I loved Enzo in this story as well as her driver Marco who covered for her so many times. I was so hoping they didn't end up getting killed ! 

Now, Faffa who is Fausta's brother and he's patient in his OWN Cruel kind of way. Always appearing to taunt and expect a show when he steals or kills. He usually lets other show up to do most of those deeds but he is always there, tossing his dice and grinning. Yuck ! Their father is the worst of bullies though always trying to control others especially his daughter. Well once she meets Luciano, she decides she's had enough of his control and wants to feel alive with Luciano again and again.  Some hot times happen in some cathedrals, of course so do some murders. Not gory but yes, they happen !

 Because of the almost poetic feel to the story and the well described situations and places, I think this is what slowed the story a bit.  It almost turned into a Romeo & Juliet scenario..Almost ! I liked how the story ended with their HEA.

My 5 Star Review TITLED:   Who knew ?

What a surprising re-union between Will "Johnny" the bully and  sweet but now that ,"no one messes with her" skilled mechanic, Harper ! It's hilarious when she realized the boy who embarrassed her all through school now has a luxury car towed into her garage !She can hold it hostage as long as she wants ! Decisions, decisions !   His mom is delighted to see him again after him escaping the town and not coming home for so long ! Her sister is warning Big Cautions about Will ! Enough men have hurt Harper before, including her ex. 

I loved how they both started to carefully move around each other like two prize fighters. Lol.  Her young boys are super protective of their mom 

It all ends in the most delightful way and now I want more from this author. It's a shame that I couldn't review on Amazon, Bookbub or Goodreads because I would  have.

__My 4 STAR Review Notes TITLED:  5 ''City Girls" and Rowan  

 

Anna, a doctor and her citified friends, Faith, Noel, Ivy and Holly enter like a small country invading Kentucky's ranch ! They all know about or work in the medical field.

Everly Hayes now Carter has invited Anna and her friends  to the working ranch/ vacation Some vacation !. They had NO idea how hard working their vacation was going to be !!! Noel is a hoot, always coming in hot for fun, something she learns to tame down a bit. 

Rowan is a large, take no prisoners who runs and knows how to rule the land. It's his legacy. One that at times he wishes he could escape but he can't leave it.  He's quiet, strong and bossy.  He carries authority naturally. Not unkind; he just knows what needs to be done and wants everyone safe. 

 Anna carries authority naturally at her hospital, because she knows what needs to be done and it gets done.  She doesn't like to be told what to do on the ranch and gives Rowan some snark along with wearing  red string bikini later.  It about setts him on fire !

 There is a lot of give and take between them along with some silences and distances.

This story has a LOT of people in it and at first I kind of got lost in that fact, especially at first.  Also a lot of food, comradery, and family and workers that really pulled hard together. All a family even if not by blood. Anna doesn't feel like there is a place for her to fit in.  She's afraid, always looking for the exit. Rowan was a afraid of his attraction to her because he's had a woman bail on him before !

It's a full story with a hard won HEA.

-----------------My 5 Star Review TITLED:  How can  Maksim & Natasha make it work?

Maksim is a 30 year old man forced into a marriage that he definitely DOESN'T  want !!  He loves parting and one night stands with women.  Nikolai is not only his best friend but also the head of their New York organization.  So, he really has no choice. His father, Gregor Petrov, never gives his son respect or credit for anything but of course he's all in for this marriage. I hated Gregor as well. Give your son a break, he's an adult !!

  Maksim  doesn't even to meet his "bride' before the wedding !! They are in Chicago. 

Natasha is  a younger woman and TERRIFIED of her father, Lev Sokolov and is totally dominated by him.  She's shy and completely sheltered and isolated and her father loves that ! He's a First Class Bully !!

Both of the fathers almost ruin the marriage alliance between New York and Chicago and just can't seem to keep their butts out of their marriage. Especially Lev. He thinks he still calls the shots because of the Peace Pact between the two organizations. What an idiot !

 I loved outrageous Kira who was Maksim's sister. She hugged Natasha the moment they met and declared they were going to be best of  friends ! She kind of overwhelmed shy Natasha but she liked her.   Kira was the Ultimate Party Girl. Her father Gregor thought she was the Golden Girl and gave her whatever she wanted.  He thought she would never cause any trouble. Right !

I so enjoyed how Maksim and Natasha have to FIGHT their way to getting to  know each other and it has a great ending !  Plenty of suspense and fighting by the way. I loved how experienced, handsome Maksim is so clueless at first when it came to getting to know his new wife.  He just can't seem to say or do anything right. That was nice for a change. 

Well, maybe not so good for Kira because now it's her turn to get offered up to a rival organization as a Peace Offering in marriage. Oh, Enzo is gonna love that !  Enzo is the head of that rival organization and was causing them trouble throughout this book.  Maksim just wants to kill him but they can't ! Oh, Kira is SO going to hate this idea.  They get their shot a relationship in the third book called "Boss". Should be amazing !!

----My 5 star Review TITLED: Bramblewick Surprises 

To start off with I LOVED quirky Hazel -she was hilarious ! All she wants to do is get her stuff and her carload of Books to the new book store that she will be setting up. No such luck; way to easy, right? !!!  When she encounters Sheriff "Mustache" Calder Reed, he's suspicious of her especially because she didn't live around there.  I got the biggest laugh out of her thinking of him as "Sheriff Mustache".  Add in such a sweet fluff of a dog, that she gets attached to. She hopes she can keep him but she's never had a dog before.  She always wanted one though.

I really enjoyed this shorter book and look forward to more stories about Hazel and "Watson."

---------My4 Star Review  TITLED:  She's missing something

Juliet Devereaux is undercover for the Feds. Her handler, Camilla wants her to go in, get the evidence they need and get out QUICKLY !!! They want the goods on the billionaire crime boss, Matteo Ricci.  But she's in over her head in minutes !  I loved that there was dual P.O.V's in this story.  And there sure was a lot missing for Juliet...like her memories.  But Matteo still loves her. The story has some drama. They did have a romance before she vanished.  The story ends with a kind of HEA for now. But also sort of a cliffhanger as well as they wait for people to come after them again ! It was a good quick story though.

 4 STAR TITLED: Everyone underestimated Eva...at first

 

Eva Sarzetti has no idea what she has just walked into . But it's deadly and could have died  if not for Rocco Rizzo stepping up and claiming her as his bride. Blood happens before that? Yes, his Uncle Vincent is standing at the altar waiting for his bride when he suddenly falls down dead.  Rocco prevents chaos erupting as he has now inherited The Throne.  

Rocco really didn't want to get married but knew that he really had no choice. He "knew' his uncle had been murdered so that others could seize control. He loved his uncle but knew he had to do something right now. He was definitely going to investigate this ..later. 

Eva's best friend Gia Barbetti was the one that encouraged Eva so strongly to crash the party.  Have fun for once she says. She almost literally pushes out the door to do it.  Made me think Eva shouldn't be so trusting of her bestie.  Another uncomfortable character in the story is Rocco's father Mario.  He was the one that got passed over and he was SO smooth, but cunning like patient snake.  I didn't like him at all !

Rocco is really cool towards Eva in the beginning although none of this was her fault and he suspected that maybe she wasn't a plant.  He just had to be sure.  I couldn't believe how quickly, Eva just accepted everything.Of course, she soon learns how dangerous her life has become. Most people don't trust her or her ability to stay and survive because she was just a "civilian". 

The story slows down quite a bit for a while because everyone has to be so patient. UNTIL things finally start moving.  Eva and Rocco have their "hot times" together and finally start working together. Eva refuses to continue to be used or left behind.  

Everything comes to a great conclusion with Justice being served and a new future being built.  The Epilogue shows even more of that future.
