BOOK- "Baby, I'm Back !" -
Fledgling entrepreneur Samantha Riverà is in charge of her own life for the first time and determined to keep it that way. She’s attempting to banish her call-all-the-shots ex-husband, who could charm the knickers off a nun, from her dreams. Unfortunately, it’s kind of tough forgetting the Zorro look-alike who’s willing to do anything for her, except give her the only two things she wants—another baby and his love.
Corporate vice president Nicolàs Riverà's refusal to sire a second child ultimately destroyed his marriage. His ex-wife has no clue how terrified he is of losing her to another high-risk pregnancy. Now, Nick will stop at nothing to get his family back. Amazon Link
Both M.C.'s were interesting because to me they showed how people who don't communicate and are hindered by pride make themselves miserable. Not only themselves but others around them too. Nick wants his wife back, he wants his family back. Ok, his EX-wife; its been a year but he's not giving up. In his mind, Samantha is still his.
He was a bit challenged by several men who he viewed as rivals and one really was. The things that split them apart however haven't been resolved but he's pretty sure she is still attracted to him. Their daughter Dani is also someone he loves but she also needs her father, another thing that he can use to wiggle his way back into Samantha's life. The information abut how ill Dani has been over the years was a surprise but added to the tension of the story.
It was a little bit hard for me to grasp that they had been married all those years but still knew so little about the real inner person. I can see the why of how that happened though.
The words to the song Nick wrote for Samantha were touching.
And I did like the fact that the story was told in both Samantha and Nick's Point of View. It was done in a smooth, way that didn't interrupt flow of the story. So many feelings that had remained hidden. And Nick sure was a problem solver when it came to helping other people.
He knew how to put people and ideas together and he didn't mind helping; he liked it.
