BOOK REVIEW- NEW ENGLAND NIGHTS

Abandoned late at night, Norah Sheridan shows up on Geoff Hammond's doorstep, leaving him no choice but to take her in. Attracted to Norah, Geoff risks breaking every promise he's made to his dying mother. Will Norah care that the handsome, renowned painter and his other artistic friends are vampire-human hybrids, pursuing their talents in Bridgeport, Connecticut? Or will she fall in love with him despite herself?
A trip to Chicago and new friendships change Geoff and Norah's lives forever. Will something unexpected bring joy to the couple, or sorrow? And how will it affect the future of their relationship?  Amazon Link

Not your every day story about vampires. I liked the main characters and the community of people around both of them. Norah had some interesting friends and family just as Geoff did. Some of their friends were pretty interesting all on their own. Like Libby, Darryl, and Mandy to name a few. Even Alexis, who you really aren't sure at first if her motives are good or not.
Even the story and the relationship between Geoff and his parents was an interesting and unusual one. The author did a good job of the pulling the reader into the second part of the story, Faith and Reggie (Geoff's mother and father). You could feel the love and the struggle. Their relationship left a lasting impression on Geoff whch he was still dealing with. It also caused problems with his relationship with Norah, which had enough problems all on its own.
I also like the fact that both of the M.C.'s were multi-talented.
My only hitch with the books was that at times it seemed to be a bit slow; but overall not a major problem.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review."
